The gate turned out great, exactly as pictured in the online photo we printed off. The color also was perfect. We elected to pay a little extra for a primer coat to be applied by the powder coating company. I cold-called on them one…read moreday to get some holes drilled into a piece of steel, and had to walk in to the far end of the machine shop in order to get the owner's attention. A nice, quite guy, I explained to him what I needed done, he took some measurements, quoted my $20 & told me to come back a day or two later. Two days later, I picked up the item & paid my $20. I get the impression he has a few steady customers, but otherwise is just there to keep himself occupied during the day. I don't know how long he's been in business, but as I mentioned before, most of the machinery I saw -- massive lathes, drills, and I have no idea what -- all looked like it dated back at least 50 years, to an era where human SKILL was required, not just the ability to set up a computer-operated machine properly.
