He was very familiar with the Whirlpool stacked washer/dryer I have, and suggested that exact type, if I wasn't going to buy a modern machine. I have experience with all kinds of modern machines, and personally don't find any use in a machine that doesn't get my clothes clean with a real agitator, that doesn't fill the machine to a level that I want, nor start automatically when I apply the knob that says start. I'd prefer a 50 year old machine over one that's going to break down in 5 years. I use all the features of high end machines, but most of my friends tell me they hardly ever change the settings on their machines. That makes the modern electronic machines even more useless in comparison. I can't say enough about Appliance Repairmen/women who know thoroughly how the appliances are supposed to work, and can keep them working while parts wear out. This is the kind of guy Brian is.
