Westgate must be the more relaxed, laidback version of a mall in the South. Instead of the shops being all in one building, most of the shops here are stand-alone structures. Here and there are patches of greenery, like a walled garden. There are paths for walking, and some nice structures as well, like a fountain. The architecture of the short buildings in themselves look nice.
I love walking here in the golden hour of the afternoon, where everything seems bathed in a golden glow, and the place looks all the more relaxed - and in turn, relaxing, for me.
It's nice to explore the area, too. There are many places to eat at, from full meals to dessert (my favorite is Cafe Breton!), and even quaint shops to explore like Orientique, a furniture and antique shop with beautiful furniture from Bali and India, among other places. There's also Magarbo, a nice boutique for cheap clothes. For the active ones, they also have a gym and a yoga center there, too. read more
