As a first-time dog owner, finding this vet office has been an absolute blessing. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and supported by the entire team. The front office staff is incredibly friendly and approachable, always ready to help with a smile. I especially appreciate how easy it is to communicate with them, even by text, which makes managing appointments and asking questions so convenient. The doctors here are amazing--they take the time to thoroughly explain everything to me, ensuring I understand my dog's needs and care. Their professionalism and genuine care for my dog's well-being give me so much confidence and peace of mind. It's clear that they treat each pet as if it were their own. Special things to Josh, Diana and Dr. Welton Loki is lucky to have such a wonderful team, keeping him happy and healthy. I can't recommend this vet office enough. They are honest, compassionate, and truly dedicated to providing the best care for our furry friends. I'm so grateful to have found them!

Just wanted to give a shout out to western Veterinary group for consistently doing well with my husky Laika . I have been taking her here for over 9 years and she always gets excited to visit. This past Friday I took her for vaccines , annual doctor check up and grooming. Summer heat can be intense for a husky so I really appreciated the doctor checking my senior dog for any potential issues. Also shout out to the staff groomer she did a really good job . I normally wash Laika but shedding season is difficult to control . She did such an amazing job, I could tell Laika was really grateful and happy to brush off her old coat. Lastly the office staff have been really patient and attentive . I was happy they were able to schedule Laika being that I'm terrible with returning calls to confirm. Over all good experience , Gracias !

Her brother Scruffy snuggling her on their last night together.

My little rescue chihuahua that I had for a little over 3 months had what I thought was an upper respiratory infection. They got us right in, but they decided very quickly that she had congestive heart failure. They took her in the back and I was allowed to follow. All the vet techs & vets were trying their best to spitball how best to bring our girl out of her spiral. They had her on O2 but I could tell that she was struggling far beyond what was reasonable. Dr. Veit , who is always honest and caring, said what I was thinking. We had to let her go. But before they could get a line in, my girl took her last breath. I was devastated & sobbing. What struck me was all the vets and vet techs were crying too. Dr. Hoffman & Dr. Strauss both assured me that there was nothing I could have done differently that would have changed the outcome. WVG was started by one of the most caring person I've ever known, Dr. Mike Zareski. The vets there now serve their patients with the same love & compassion that Dr. Mike brought to his job everyday. I will forever be grateful for their dedication.

I can't say enough about Western Vet - they are the best in every sense of the word. Every single person I've ever interacted with here has been wonderful. From the front desk, the vet techs, and the vets - I have no complaints. I recently put my dog, Frostie, down which pushed me to write this review because throughout the years, they've been there for him whenever I've called. Whether it be a last-minute appointment or emergency, they have always accommodated us. Our other dog, Gilligan, has gotten the exact same King treatment! Thank you for always being there for Frostie, and thank you for continuing to be there for Gilligan.

We took our dogs in for their annual check up with Dr. Lee. Dr. Lee was very careful with our dogs as she examined each one of them. Sadly, she said 2 of our dogs were a bit chubby and need to lose a couple pounds. Our 3rd dog was his ideal weight. Dr. Lee provided suggestions on how to get our food motivated dogs to eat more healthy with steamed carrots and broccoli. Plus, she recommended brushing our dogs teeth. Her suggestion of not being concerned about a full brushing, but partial brushing a couple times a week is better than nothing. Thankfully 2 additional doctors will be joining their team in February, as the three existing doctors are working themselves to the bone. Thank Dr. Lee, "the puppy popper".

Starfox. Sweet to the last.

I don't think I can ever say enough good things about the people here at Western Vet Group. We have been taking our cats here since the offices were on PCH in Lomita. What moves me to write this review is the caring, thoughtful way they treated us and our poor old sick Starfox just a week and a half ago. When we brought him in we found he was much sicker than we had guessed. X-rays and bloodwork showed there was only one way to help him; just one way to relieve his suffering. The compassion showed to Starfie and to us on this sad day was amazing. From the front office staff to the doctor everyone was so nice. Never rushing the decision, never rushing anything in fact. Someday in the future we hope to come in with a new little buddy for care here.

We got her at 3 months and I thought that enrolling her in a puppy school would be great for her manners as she grows up. She didn't really have any behavior problems that stood out to us aside from all the normal puppy hyper mayhem zoomies, teething and impatient-ness--since she was figuring out how to be a dog herself too. She started school at 4 months and now she's done at 7 months. We are very busy, and we could only bring her in once a week and it still worked out! Even with a month pause in between because of her spay procedure. You won't regret enrolling your pup in their program because the trainer really understands dog language--a dog whisperer for sure. That being said, it comes with work from home too, so be prepared to hear tips and tricks to do at home. There will be blunt advice, but don't take anything personally. They're seeing it from an outside perspective, and you're seeing your pup as your kid. You're there to make your pup have great manners, the dream dog that you want to have, so you'll have to do discipline. They come as strict, but for the reason being that they know you'll be softer at home. So they're laying strong foundation for your pup. Ginger started with not wanting to walk on a leash, to being very well-mannered on a leash! With dogs barking in the background too. She also learned how to wait, how to get on a point, and how to "drop it." We only had to do an 8 session course. See her progress through January-March! Thank you Torrance Grooming and Training! I heard they also do great grooming, so we will probably try it out sometime too :).

I wrote this review only after I tried a different place for my dog's grooming work…read more I have a terrier which requires hand stripping - which is a unique grooming style for dogs have double-layered hair. I had this puppy for only several months old, and booked this place for grooming. The appointment was confirmed, and due to the staff /business owner who can do the work was on maternity leave, I had to waited for 2 months - which was ok, we could wait. But when the appointment was approaching, I was contacted for delaying the appointment for another month due to the staff needed more time for the leave. I was ok with that, and so another month to wait. One week before the appointment time, I was contacted again as the staff can't do the job on the agreed day, it had to be rescheduled again. I was patient enough for almost three month wait. But I felt not very respectful for the 3rd time change of my appointment time! I had to reschedule my time off to make it work. When I express my concerns of the time change, the message I got literally was " We don't need new customers honestly." Really?! I felt really bad but the short time change notice put me into a position that I didn't want to waste more time researching another place ( maybe I should). So I went and the hand stripping charges by hourly rate, usually takes 1-3 hours for the session. I had a small-medium size dog, it was our first time doing that, I had no expectations. But I didn't expect that they did took 3 full hours to do the job, so I was charged for 3 hours, plus the bath... I got a final bill of over $300!! And I felt the style was a bit off- I sent a photo to our breeder, she thought the same... So I tried a different place for my second time, just to compare with my 1st experience at Soggy Paws Pet Grooming. The final bill I got from a different place was only $165 - (and my dog is growing bigger, probably with much more hair to be stripped, and my dog looked great!!) So I think the business owner of Soggy is right: They don't need new customers! And I have found a better place to go after all. That is my experience with this place. Hope it is helpful.
