This place features a great deal of stores and an immense amount of parking as well. On slow days you can actually drive into one of the parking spaces near the mall and actually walk up that door store you want to go to. This place featured a wide variety of stores though it leans towards a bit of upscale. Most of these stores too are also occupied as well not many vacancies. Some of the stores are hidden like the Tropical Smoothie Cafe. Some stores stood out, most weren't too interesting but it's worth checking out or if you need a place to get your steps in too!

You're nose is frozen on your face during the winter. In the summer it's so damn hot you melt onto their hard, metal benches if your lucky enough to find one of the few benches without interlopers. This concept might work in upstate New York. This is Missouri. It's either 95 degrees or 30. That pleasant food court smell doesn't waft up through the doorway to great you. Instead you're greeted with the odor of spent petroleum. This summer you will be dodging the angry wasps that guard each planter. Faux elegance at it's best. The stores are mostly smaller versions of what you would find at Oak Park or Independence center. This place is a decent stop off to kill some time but if you really want shopping you need to go to the larger stores at other locations. There is one bright spot, Macy's. Why? This store is genius. In this unassuming store they have placed a Starbucks, an oasis for men waiting for their wives while they finish shopping. The mere act of selecting flip flops can take a woman over two hours -this is a fact. For the first time in my life I sat down and enjoyed an anchor store comfortably without pressuring my wife to go. This alone gives the entire area a bump to three stars. Of course, its small enough my wife can't find what she's looking for and we end up driving over to Oak Park anyway.

This is one of these brand new fancy futuristic space-age shopping malls that I really hate - which are completely full of all of your very expensive brand name shops including a few local things as well. The Bubble Tea here (which is why I came here the most recent time) was about twice the price Bubble Tea should be, and about half as good. Go figure. Welcome to suburban hell. It is pretty though. Lots of street parkings, parking lots and garages available all around. Street parking is free for 2 hours. It gets busy around afternoon to evening hours. There are all sorts of shops here including apparel stores, jewelry stores, gift shops, general and home goods stores. Among dining spots we saw Shake Shack, Panera, True Food Kitchen, Eddie V, Melting Pot, Kura sushi, Ocean Prime, Capital Grille and several other popular restaurants. We went to the Plaza on multiple days for shopping and eating. Some of the places we visited were Shack Shake, Bruu cafe, Lululemon, Rally House, Made in KC marketplace. Prices were mid to high depending on the location. The plaza buildings looked so pretty with their lightings at night. There was also a Fifa countdown sculpture since KC is a host city. The plaza area felt pretty safe and well maintained. Lots of security personnel were always available in each of the blocks.

It has some stores you'd expect- Starbucks, CVS, Price Chopper- but then there are different, unexpected shops like Duck Donuts & 2 specialty shoe stores- SAS and The Foot Spot. The Hallmark store and the ACE hardware are better than your average locations of those chains. There's also Salon Mission that offers hair and massage services, Dewey's pizza restaurant, and the wonderful Glenwood movie theater, among others. Well turns out it is a large shopping center with a few stores in it. I rooks photo of the map of what's all in it. Most of the shops seemed like destination shops and not just stop to shop for fun to spend time, but the Ace Store here isn't your typical Ace Hardware. At least it isn't during the Christmas season as they had lots of gift ideas such as soaps, cooking pans and pots and mugs, etc. I'll leave a review for it too.

As with other malls in the metro, this was a mall that was wheezing and hacking it's way to the morgue but suddenly, to the credit of the developers here, it changed. A combination of a well placed Target, a plush movie theater remodel with reclining leather seats, and then the coup de gras, a Trader Joe's has made this place relevant. I will say the east side of the mall parking lot is nightmare fuel. It's too condensed and the whole lot lacks any real flow. Tread cautiously. The west side of the mall is more my jam as you can pop into Gary Gribble's Running Store, Starbucks, and a handful of other good spots with relative ease. It still has that weird, echoey mall vibe when you're in the heart of it, but it's not quite as massive as some other malls that are now memories.
