My husband and I love this course. It is extremely well maintained and the layout offers a fun challenge.

How can it be that the fairways, rough and greens are in excellent condition and the sand traps have not been touched in a week? What a disappointment! After the round we go to have a beer and 4 beers cost $41????? We ask for the receipt and the bartender says "why dont you trust me?" Who says this to paying customers!!?? We should have known that the entire course was full and we were the only people in the bar. I would come back to play, but I will go elsewhere for my refreshments read more

I had the west wood carnitas. Pork had more fat than I would've liked. We do not want the beef chimichanga if it was ground beef. Waitress said it was shredded beef. We got ground beef :-( White sangria was good. read more

The restaurant atmosphere is really nice with a beautiful view of the golf course and sunsets. They have a large fire pit outside and the chef has created many amazing food choices. Fish Friday is always fun with delicious fish, high-end entrées. read more

Early season $91. Cart path only, restrooms closed, no on course snack/beverage, no water on the course (but you can grab a couple bottles of single use plastic bottles that end up all over the course), super slow play with no marshals, and pretty crappy condition. Used to be a good, reasonably priced course but the city runs it now so it has gone to complete hell. A real shame. read more

Fun place to play and staff is top notch! We totally messed up our tee off location, 100% my fault. Guess it pays to pay attention to which course you book‍. Working there is bad as customers don't take Covid Screening seriously and the management doesn't seem to care

If I could it would be a 1 star. I'm sorry but watching first hand how the manager treats his employees is horrible. The girls will be up in the front for HOURS and get no break. They also can't have any good to eat, let me remind you hours with no food. And he yells at them for having water. Nope. Done. He is a real piece of work let me tell ya. Two girls were talking being, cute you know teenagers working to get by and the manager seriously told one of them to stop laughing? Overall I had a good experience but watching this all go down hurts. The staff is pretty nice but the manager he's no good I will tell you. read more

The setting was beautiful and all the staff members were extremely nice people. Asked about one meal, if it was spicy, the server said no got it to the table. Took one bite could not eat it so sent it back. Ordered something new and it was burnt did not send it back. We also ordered guacamole and all the was so heavy with black pepper. It was hard to eat any of our dinners. Chef needs to keep better track of his kitchen. read more

I grew up right on the golf course. As a kid I loved riding my bike to meet friends at the club house to get a vanilla coke and waffle fries. Occationally we might treate ourselves to freshly made guacamole, because they would make the most wonderful guacamole right in front of you. I wasn't much of a golfer, but for awhile I enjoyed getting a bucket of balls and hitting on the range. My parents also signed me up for a few summer classes. When I was a kid I enjoyed the golf camps and my time on the course. However, since I am not too much of a golfer and much older than my childhood memories, I do enjoy coming over for a full breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu. My favorite personally being breakfast (served until 11am) so I can enjoy the cool of the morning sitting on the deck and watching the golfers as they begin their morning tee-time. I only give it a 4 because it is family friendly, but as any golf course it isn't the best place to go with little kids. They do a good job allowing kids, but the ambiance of golf courses are quieter and more subdued. If your kids can do that then its a great 5star place. read more

Paid over $1000 to play in a tournament here and when it was over I accidentally left my range finder on the cart. Called that night (we finished around 4pm) and multiple times the next day. They said they hadn't found it, yet the go through ever cart before it goes back out. So conveniently my $250 watch walked off by unattaching itself from the cart and into one of their employees pockets. Never once have I left something in a cart and it not showed up by the latest the next day. Highly unprofessional and I now wish I wouldn't have even played here at all. read more

I was at your course on Tuesday the 13th of September about 8:00 am for my grandson's junior tournament with local high schools. I went to the pro shop to rent a cart as I am almost 70 and walking 18 holes in 80+ degrees would be difficult. Your Representative B Quarantino was rude when asking if I was a spectator or player and I was told by him that he would not provide a cart without me having a handicapped placard. Two ladies behind me, had mothers 75 and 81 years of age. They did not have a placard as well. He said no to all of us. Many carts were available as we could see, and he had to know that the kids could not ride in carts. Also, wouldn't he know the tee times of other golfers and could calculate the availability? We tried to convince him and he would not budge. After walking 9 holes, we saw very few carts (maybe 3) or spectators. Upon returning and deciding not to stay for the next 9 as was getting hotter, I thought I would go ask since so many carts were sitting outside, still, and what was inside the barn? Then he decided to let us rent a cart at the $20 price. I am so dissatisfied with your Representative's rudeness and lack of accommodation. I have relatives who work at two other Arvada and Westminster golf courses. This will indeed be shared. I hope you take this to heart and consider your service levels as not everyone who visits your course is a golfer. And he didn't know if we were golfers or not (we are). Went to the range today and was giving my uncle a few tips. One of the pros comes out of no where claiming I was giving a lesson. He explained that they do not allow outside lessons and when I replied with a simple "okay". He proceeds to raise his voice saying it was "bad look" for them and that a rep from a club manufacturer will be there soon to use the spots we were using on the driving range. For a golf professional (who was wearing shorts?) and come off aggressively without asking any questions is ridiculous. I am a golf professional myself and I understand his reasoning for not wanting me to teach a lesson on the property, but this was simply not that. The fact that you can't use a PUBLIC driving range and talk to others to improve there swing is not the way to grow the game of golf. I am not even from the area and when I am back I will not be visiting here. Which I'm sure this "professional" will be happy with so I don't "poach" any lessons from the few individuals this miserable pro has the privilege of teaching. I have had few experiences at this course and none of them have even been remotely to mediocre let alone a good time. read more

Terrible food and service. Such a shame with so many houses nearby and people looking for an awesome place to eat and drink. We have been at least 5 times . .. with girlfriends, as a couple and with our teenagers. The setting is gorgeous and we really wanted it to be our regular spot with a sense of neighborhood community. The food was just awful and it's pricey, which I never would have pointed out if I loved my food. Glass for wine was $15 and I had to beg for another. Bartenders totally unaware of looking around and working more than one bar table. I think he even said "You want drinks?" without any hello to a group of women. Unfortunately we won't be back. Too many negative reviews for this course. Felt obliged to give them some love. Awesome golf course layout, beautiful holes nestled in the foothills. The tee boxes, fairways, greens are great in condition. I don't play golf courses for the restaurant or pro shop, so I can't comment about what the other reviews have complained about. Great day golfing with friends but the course is not in good shape. They are under construction but we expected the course to be okay. Not so much. And they are charging full price? Ridiculous! Fairways are burnt and tee boxes are trashed. Soggy patches here and there... and just not a quality course right now. Might pay $25 a round until it's fixed. Otherwise, stay away! read more

West woods was a great course. And will be again in 2018. Until the clubhouse is done don't bother.

as a senior golfer , with a disability the pro shop refused to issue me a handicap flag for my cart without providing a placard number. its on my handicap parking placard in the car. didnt want to go back .to the car and then back. makes you feel a little awkward. i walk with a limp, besides it a federal offense with the ADA. i mean its the law. maybe he thought i was lying? WTF. this has never happened to me!! read more

It's a sad day when you want to enjoy their great food but despite having numerous open tables they can't take an order for 30 minutes because the kitchen is slammed. This was a Sunday morning at 11:15am. If your kitchen can't support the requests, then perhaps you need to trim down your menu offerings. Not to mention the first wait staff member just tossed down menus said he'd back to take drink orders and there's a 30 minute wait to take orders and walked off. No apologies, no checking in to see if we wanted to wait. Not the kind of atmosphere I expect at a Golf Course club house, especially West Woods. read more

Courses are nice. People are friendly but lack awareness. I book a time for 5:50 knowing it shouldn't take more than 2 hours to complete 9 holes. After the first hole. The ranger comes up and tells me that my duo. Is behind a group of 5 and 3 more groups of 4 and they are playing in a league so I won't be able to finish 9 holes. Lol then why did you let me book 9 holes if you knew in advance I wasn't going to be able to play them? read more

Great driving range, grass was in great shape. A little spendy $10 for bucket, but everything was in great condition. Would love to play the course soon, looks to be in great condition as well. i will be back for sure. read more

Ah West Woods! This is where I really learned and started to enjoy the game of golf. The original 18 holes, Cottonwood and Sleeping Indian (named for an outcropping of rocks/mountaintop directly West along Highway 93 that looks like...you guessed it, a Sleeping Indian) are the two best 9's at this 27 hole course. The newest 9 hole track, Silo, (not surprisingly named for the big ass Silo on the 5th hole) is a bit quirky to me. No matter what 9 holes you prefer the course is always in good shape and well maintained. A nice mixture and abundance of hazards including ponds, creeks, sand traps and narrow fairways test your skills while still being "fair" and enjoyable to golfer of all levels. Only way to finish up a round at West Woods is with table side guacamole made by the same smiling and happy dude that made it for me the first time all those many years ago. West Woods is always a good time! read more

Way too expensive for what you get. Bad conditions, poor service and no kitchen yet. Should drop price for the construction term.
