Choosing Dr. Inessa and BHP was truly one of the best decisions we've made as parents. We have a two year old and a newborn, and Dr. Inessa has been there for us every step of the way. She is smart, straight-forward, and thoughtful-- I have tons of questions (often semi-ridiculous-I've-gone-too-far-down-an-internet-rabbit-hole-type-of-questions) and she provides so much insight and confidence in her responses. It's also worth noting that she's never been anything but kind and patient with my concerns, and she has a unique ability to give it to me straight without making me feel silly for having asked. Our office visits are efficient but never rushed, and I always feel like she's very thorough and really knows and likes my kids. Not only is Dr. Inessa an incredible doctor, but I really like her personality and demeanor. She's funny and easy to be around, and always has funny anecdotes about her own kids and experiences as a mom that are super relatable. We are switching pediatricians because of it. It's impossible to get anyone on the phone to make an appointment or ask about an appointment/ meds etc. their hold machine goes for 15 min before it goes to voicemail. Then no one must check the voicemail because I've never gotten a call back. I've literally been on hold for 2 hours total yesterday, and going on a half an hour today plus a voicemail. All to make an appointment because my newborn is having diarrhea.

Dr. Monk came across as very condescending and lacked the warm, reassuring demeanor one would expect from a pediatric doctor. There was little empathy or effort to build rapport, and the overall interaction felt transactional rather than patient-centered.
