Erika is awesome and has helped my relationship so much!…read more My partner and I have been together for a long time and wanted to try therapy to solve small but regularly occurring issues. I was hesitant to try couples therapy and even more trepidatious to meet via video conferencing. I have to say, Erika made all those fears subside and has made therapy something we look forward to. I love her approach too. She listens past what I say and is able to articulate my feelings in a way I couldn't/can't. Instead of forcing solutions on us, she makes suggestions based on her experience and our individual situation. My partner and I have been meeting with Erika for a couple months and have seen such a huge improvement in our relationship. If you are considering couples therapy, I highly suggest meeting Erika.

I've recently finished couples therapy with Erika at the Relationship Institute. She was extremely…read moreprofessional, called me and my girlfriend back immediately, answered all of our questions up front, and overall felt that she was a really good couples therapist. We had tried out a therapist prior who said they did couples therapy, but later found out they really only work as an individual therapist, which in my opinion, is a completely different skill set that we were looking for. It was clear from the beginning that Erika was trained in dealing with couples - especially couples that have trouble with communication, something we really wanted to work on. My only critical feedback is that Erika had a packed schedule, so getting a time that worked for us was a bit of a hurdle. We couldn't be happier with the experience.

I can't recommend Ron highly enough. He has helped me work through challenges in my career as a software engineer, but what really sets him apart is how he approaches the deeper, often harder-to-articulate parts of life. With his guidance, I've been able to confront family issues that I hadn't fully understood or been able to express before. He's helped me unpack my feelings, reflect on patterns, and develop the tools to handle relationships and conflicts with more clarity and compassion. He's also been a steady presence as I've worked on personal growth, helping me explore what it means to step into manhood thoughtfully, navigate difficult people, and become more intentional in how I show up in all areas of life. What I value most is his combination of insight, patience, and accountability. He challenges me when I need it, but always with respect and genuine care, helping me become the best version of myself without judgment or pressure. At the same time, he's someone I can joke with, vent to, and learn from, which is something I haven't often found with other therapists. Because of his guidance, I feel more grounded, self-aware, and confident in both my personal and professional life. Lastly, the work we've done together has helped me grow into a well-paid and fulfilling career. More importantly, I have a healthy, loving, and respectful relationship with my family. I cannot give Ron enough credit to both of those aspects of my life. If you're looking for a therapist who truly meets you where you are and helps you grow in meaningful, lasting ways, Ron is someone I wholeheartedly recommend.

Unfortunately, my experience with Ron was in variance to some of the other positive reviews…read more I did a handful of sessions with Ron and he generally seemed impatient and frustrated. He confirmed as such in our last session by calling me "annoying, demanding" and said "I keep arguing with him". Those were the exact words he used. What seemed most baffling to me was that he spent very little time asking me questions about myself but kept putting forth 'hypothesis' as he called it that he chalked up to his "gift of intuition". He didn't take kindly to questioning the hypothesis but would just repeat that he had great intuition. This seemed like an exercise in vanity. It seemed only obvious that he wouldn't need to keeping putting forth hypothesis if he spent any time getting to know me. He talked about setting clear goals ("no navel-gazing" as he said on his website) which I did, yet he seemed annoyed by my question as to what the path to those goals might look like. He exasperatedly replied with "Do you need for me to explain to you how psychotherapy works?". Apparently, I "demanded" he provide me with a plan which is certainly not how I phrased it and I don't imagine another therapist would receive it that way. It also did not feel like a good use of time to keep rehashing my goals when the sessions were only 40 minutes, shorter than the average therapy session. Stylistically, he was very heavy on jargon and abstractions. If often felt like he was regurgitating something he read in a book on Jungian psychology. When there is clarity of thought there is clarity of expression; when there isn't you get bogged down in therapy word-salads. He frequently bemoaned the fact that I was not 'quick enough to open up to him' while seemingly oblivious to the ways in which he conducted himself - looking annoyed, exasperated, occasionally sighing - that made it difficult to connect with him. To his credit he seemed sincere and wanting to help people though only insofar as you are 'willing to go along with him'. When asked what that phrase meant he said he wasn't able to articulate an answer. My experience was that it meant you go along with the script; any deviance from it would not be tolerated. Any questions asked were a personal affront to his gift of intuition. It requires a certain arrogance to call someone who pays for your time 'annoying', and 'demanding'. More importantly, it does a massive disservice to those vulnerable enough to seek out therapy. If as a therapist that is how one conducts their practice, I would suggest a profession that doesn't involve their interaction with other human beings. I've seen a handful of therapist over the years, one who I thought I was very lucky to have met, a few others who just weren't a good fit, and Ron. If you are reading this review looking for a compassionate, patient, and warm therapist, this was not it. I wish you good luck in your search.

I tried multiple times to ask for a phone conversation or face to face meeting to try to reach a resolution that wouldn't leave me utterly scarred after the situation, but Mr. Greene replied only with evasive, disingenuous language clearly meant to eradicate himself of any responsibility. I was not willing to go to the Board of Psychology with this incident because that required giving up my privacy.
