Here is what I noticed: The place was smaller than I remember (that seems to happen as I get older and larger), but doesn't mean it's small. It's a great size with a lot of different things to do for almost every age group from babies to adults. Since we have little ones we stayed in the kids area most of the time and our kids loved it. They have a big water playground with one of those huge buckets that dumps a waterfall every 5 minutes or so. I really want to go back sans kids and go on some of the adult slides because they've added a bunch and they look super fun. The lines aren't bad to get to anything (in fact we never waited for anything while we were here) so they do great crowd control. The wave pool in the center is a fun time too, and they also have a lazy river. The workers were all pleasant to us and the park was kept very clean. The kids area did need a little scrubbing of the floor (in the center of the playground floor, where there is standing water), but that was about it. I felt fine walking barefoot everywhere. The only thing I didn't enjoy was the high prices of the food and drinks. $12 for a kids dip n dots ice cream, $20 for one order of chicken fingers...these are ballpark or movie theater prices, maybe worse. That's the only thing that keeps it from being 5 stars to me. At least they provide a few umbrellas and picnic tables in the parking lot, so as long as you prepare and bring a lunch or meal with you, just go eat it in the parking lot and come back. The other nice thing is they stamp your hand upon exiting if you want to return, so it's very nice they allow going in and out if you need to. We got season passes this year (nice that they also get you into six flags as well) so I am looking forward to coming back again soon!

The food takes about 45-60 minutes plus about a 10 minute wait to even order. If you buy the pass with meal it doesn't make the waiting faster. The water slides close about 5-25 minutes early with no warning, they'll just let you wait and then once you get to the top they'll tell you start heading down. And on top of that the wave pool and the lazy river are filthy. I think this was officially my last visit here. Would never recommend this place to anyone.

The suites are like apartments with a I'll Kitchen and plenty of space along with a small patio/balcony. We rented a cabana one day to have more comfortable seating (as I don't swim) and it was only $130 and could seat 5 comfortably. They have a TON of lifeguards and it is not at all chaotic like some places can be. Front desk check in was smooth and easy. Express checkout as well thru text and you can leave your keys in the room. The arcade is also nice and they have some mini golf and small bowling as well. They run a shuttle bus to the main resort too and you can do activities at either location for free. I only wish they ran a trolley to downtown!

It's a big marketing scam; front desk staff pushes unnecessary add ons like: Paw Passes which come with undisclosed limitations, dinning and breakfast options with "sub par" food to say the least. When you are attempting to use the benefits you paid for, there are stipulations the front desk conveniently doesn't mention. An example is the $100 hold they place on your form of payment in addition to your deposit if you purchase said meal plans. "Common knowledge" they said is that in order for ALL charges to clear, it can take up to a week or more in contrast, they, GWL take their money immediately, but arent as quick to refund yours in the event of any error committed on their part. Lets talk about their filthy rooms... The 1st room we checked into reaked of smoke, there were cigarette debris, and an obvious lingering smell that penetrated your nostrils at first breath. There were lipstick marks on used cups that werent discarded amongst other things. Due to the obvious lack of cleanliness in this room, we were moved to room #2 in the same tower. The 2nd room was disgusting amd even worse. A night supervisor came in to inspect and was left with his mouth open from the decrepit condition it was in. There were pubic hairs found in the wolf den, urine stains, tears on the sheets, and something that resembled bugs underneath the bunks and other debris. I asked to speak with a floor manager immediately as I needed a witness to inspect the atrocities. Susan arrived and made an attempt to downplay the situation however; even she couldn't hide her disgust for said conditions and moved us yet again. Now, all this moving from room to room didn't come free; they didnt disclose that they were charging my card every time they moved us to a different room, they failed to inform us that this move made it look like I had reserved several rooms under one card. This meant that every time a clerk opened my reservation, it appeared to look like I made several reservations under one name! WHAT THE ACTUAL HECK! Due to this frustrating situation that took practically MOST of our time, energy, and patience, the kids didn't get a chance to enjoy what we paid for. They went to bed late, irritable and disappointed. This incredible story doesn't end here; there is more but honestly, I'm too tired and frustrated to keep adding on and the stress of reliving it makes my blood boil. Due to the misery and stress this caused, we checked out early. I am writing this for the moms and the families that seek a nice, worry free vacation at a place that boasts about its amenities and its family friendly environment. Dont go here. Save your time, sanity, and effort for a business that appreciates & takes care of its customers. No place is perfect, I know, but businesses can start by correcting their mistakes and taking corrective measures to ensure their patrons are prioritized. They are quite stern on the no food allowed, all food that you buy in the food court must be eaten there, and no outside food allowed in at all (you can come in and out of the pool as you please to eat your food from home!!) We tried the food at the restaurant,t and while you can definitely tell it's just frozen food, it's probably the best frozen food there is!!! (slightly overpriced though...) My 2 children and I all had the corn dog, and we all liked it, and I tried the smoothie, and it was not good at all... But the ice cream selection is quite good!! The changing rooms are a bit bare-bones, and there are lockers that I believe you can rent at the front of the pool, but we just took our stuff with us. CAUTION!!! IT GETS EXTREMELY SLIPPERY IN THERE, SO WALK WITH CAUTION!!! They weren't the most sanitary, and there was trash on the floor, but it wasn't terrible. The staff was OK; some lifeguards cared about their jobs, and some didn't give a sh-, with any pool, it was run by high schoolers, but they were all mostly respectful. There was a supervisor named Bill who asked my children if they were having fun, and Bill was one of the few who cared for his job, he was the only staff memeber that was over the age of 30, lol, there was also this lifeguard, if i remember his name correctly his name was Peter, he was at the bottem of the slides and he always asked me and my kids if we were OK after going down. One time on the Tube Slide me and my 4 year old daughter flipped, and he wasted no time grabbing my daughter ASAP so she wouldn't go under (the current is EXTREMELY STRONG). But some lifeguards just stand there like a post and don't move. Shame on them!! It was very packed today, and we still managed to have a lot of fun! There aren't a lot of lawn chairs, and of those, very few are shaded,d but there is a big spot of grass with umbrellas and trees where you can set up base! You can't bring your own chairs or chairs from the pool,l but a blanket is fair game! Pack one just in case their isnt any seats!! Overall, if I lived in the West Chicago Area, I would be a regular at this pool!!! If anyone is on the fence about going to this pool, I highly suggest going!!

They decorated, provided music(frozen theme), served pizza and cake, then cleaned up. They even provided and played a pin the tail on the donkey style game(Frozen themed) for the children. Such a wonderful experience. After the hour in the room we were lead down to the pool facilities. It is so cool in there! All of the kids aged 3-8 were blown away when we walked through the doors. They were all very excited. Everything was so clean, the pool and changing rooms. It was a fantastic facility with amazing people that made my daughter's birthday such a joy.

I guess since I didn't grow up here and it's not really geared toward adults it makes sense. We got a chance to visit this season before they closed and it was so much fun. As the name suggests, it's Christmas/Santa/winter themed. The daily price is high, but next year I think we'll be buying a season pass and hopefully can balance pool pass and amusement park visits. My daughter had so much fun with her friend here. And there's more than I expected! The rides were good, and though there aren't a ton of them they are solid and enjoyable. I rode a few, and I wasn't sure they'd be fat friendly. The Route 66 ride was fun; it reminded me of Tomorrowland Speedway, but with cooler cars. And the fire truck ride was a unique one; though I don't have a lot of amusement park experience but I didn't expect to see a fire truck that takes you over to a fire (gas powered) and lets the kids aim their hoses to put it out. There's a petting zoo, with pigs, alpacas, goats, sheep, and so on. You can buy a cup of feed and they will be your best friends for real. There's also an aviary, where you can buy a feed stick to encourage the birds to come pick from. We spent a lot of time in both those areas, and the kids really got a kick out of feeding the animals. After going on a bunch of the rides, we went to the wading pool. I didn't realize how extensive it was--it's a very large pool area, but the water is only a few feet deep and it's a zero entry pool. I thought it would be much smaller, so I didn't bring a suit--but luckily my friend did since you can't go into the pool unless you're properly attired. There were various slides and I think my kiddo could have spent hours there. But the day was cool and there was a bit of rain, so we only stayed a short while. I'm really looking forward to going more often next summer, letting the kiddo enjoy the pool much longer. Parking is free--at least as of 2026. There are concessions, and you're not supposed to be able to bring outside food, but somehow my friend snuck some in so YMMV.

We had the pizza and it was delicious. It reminded me of a school pizza growing up and a little bit of Sbarro. It filled us up and our picky 3 year old loved it so that was a bonus. We also went to a different location to get freshly squeezed lemonade and iced coffee. Both were delicious and perfect mid day snack during sunny afternoon The bathrooms were clean enough. The rides were fun and staff was very friendly. At the end of the day, we stopped and greeted Santa. I loved this experience since he was very patient and kind to our daughter. And it was very personalized. I was under the assumption was simple, and pose for photos but no... he talked to her and read her signs as to how comfortable she was. I appreciated Santa so much since he could tell she was getting a little scared and nervous. Overall, it is a fun place to be especially as a child. The bathroom and kitchen fixtures are all mismatched brands. The fridge and stove/oven are top tier but the dishwasher in bldg 1 room 205 doesn't work. Be sure to bring your preferred bug spray. The property is massive so you can get in lots of walking or running. When you go out get EVERYTHING you need because the closest options are 20 miles or better away. Mostly everything closes super early so if you're arriving after 4 depending on how long it takes you to settle in you may need to pay- Unfortunately it's closing October 2025. Locals say it will become a Hilton property. If that happens I foresee the water park being closed.

The shower head has the worst pressure I've ever experienced in any hotel. This disgrace of a place tried to cut cost everywhere. Everything is outdated it's outrageous. By the way, there are no gyms (which is a stable for all holiday inns/vacation hotels) and no breakfast. You cheap motherfuckers. Barely any soap in the bathrooms and had to ask multiple times for shampoo (which took 3 hours to arrive). And all the buildings are split apart meaning you have to drive everywhere.. This is not even the worst. No where in the website does it inform you of the waterpark being inaccessible on the weekdays. You're also charged to use the waterpark. The TV is small and glitchy. Can't even use Netflix on it cause it's so goddamn old. They offer room service only after 10 DAYS. And then they wonder why people complain about the filth. Every room needs cleaning often to maintain its cleanliness. I mean the hallways smelled like cheese and people left out their towels after swimming in the hallways for the custodians to pick up. So imagine that smell of used towels and the clutter. All of this because the hotel refuses to clean people's rooms. In the middle of nowhere so we can't get nothing but pizza. All the few five star reviews are phony cause nothing is good about this place. The internet connection is so bad that my phone went off SOS.
