What a beautiful hidden treasure! We were looking for an outdoor venue where we could have a small rehearsal dinner for and stay over before our COVID-postponed October wedding in 2021. While we were relatively confident West Park Gardens would be enough, we were pleasantly amazed at how nice the house was, how large the back yard area is, and how accommodating Stephen was. If we could do it again, we would have booked the whole house for our family, since you share the house with other guests unless you book the master room: it would have been a great place for everyone important to stay, especially as it wasn't far from our venue. read more

Stephen is a great host. We planned a get away for a night in Culpeper. Wanted to do some shopping and enjoy a scenic Va town. The house is definitely historic and the backyard is a true oasis - complete with a Koi pond and fountain. All the amenities are current and updated. The bed was a pillow top with quality cotton sheets. From the very beginning, Stephen ensured our stay was perfect. Before we arrived, he recommend some restaurants and made the reservation for us. Breakfast was stupendous. Fresh fruit, cut cantaloupe, super fresh bagels and croissants and fresh butter & cream cheese. Coffee was fresh ground Starbucks and ready for us when we woke. He definitely supports the local small businesses of the area as the chocolates and baked goods were from local shops. We will definitely stay there again! Do yourself a favor and do the same. read more
