The staff are friendly and always on hand. They sell shirts, skirts, coats, and jewellery. People in Uxbridge usually go there to shop for gifts or if they are looking for an item for a special occasion. Everybody in Uxbridge will vouch for how good this shop is. I remember while growing up in the area that the Pavilions was THE shopping centre to hang around…read morein like a mallrat. But the problem is that not much has been done to it since the 80s. So when the Chimes came along, rather than fighting the much more modern looking competitor it just slumped into defeat and now is a bit of a sad shadow of its former self. It retains some of the old stores from its hey day, but for the most part, the bigger stores are in the Chimes. But I still like it, it was important to my childhood but the days of going to the back corner for Zodiac Toys to see what Thundercats they had in is long gone. These days of goths started hanging out the front I don't think they would bother to pull out the newly installed raises flower beds so that they'd have to move on as there wouldn't be anything to lean against. These days they'd just be welcomed.
