They always have a lot of properties on offer and it always seems busy so therefore in my book somewhat trustworthy! I think today you have to be careful with estate agents as some of them can rip you off or not even look at what you really want in a house. These seem pretty genuine though and good at what they do. I would go and have a look if you are interested in buying or renting a property around here.

We used Whittaker and Biggs when we last sold our house and they were adequate, if not inspired. Some of the staff are very professional and seem to want to sell houses. However, others seem to have no interest in you, either as a buyer or a seller and ignore you when you call in to the small premises on Derby Street (mind the step - it is very difficult to negotiate from the street). However, they are still in business, unlike 3 other Leek Estate Agents, so they can't be too bad!

They deal mostly in residential and a bit of small commercial. They also can offer maintenance if required. I have recently bought a house through Alan Kirkhams and they could not have been any more helpful. Yes, i know they get a fee when they sell a house but the girl's i dealt with were genuinely decent people who did everything possible to help me out. It is my opinion that they are the friendliest agents for some way around and i wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. They kept me informed and up to date of every aspect of my purchase and they were more use than my solicitor and as the purchaser i did not even have a financial committment to them. I cannot praise the agents at Alan kirkham's Shaw highly enough. They take the stress out of a stressful situation.
