Small close knit church that are welcoming and friendly. I am not sure they are still a real Methodist church, maybe ecumenical.

Everett,…read moreDelmar, and Pete are riding in an old stolen car on some Mississippi dirt road and decide to pick up a hitch hiker. That was Robert Johnson whom in the movie is said to have sold his soul to play his guitar "real good". Robert Johnson: He was a blues singer back in the 1930's. He inspired other blues singers such as Muddy Waters. Well, this is where the old timers say he is buried. After getting out of car, it took me about 5 minutes to find his grave after fighting the mosquitos. If you come here during the summer, bring some off, even during the day they are out here because their is a river close by behind the church. You will see some other Johnson's buried here whom I assume are family members of his. You might as well visit Tallahatchie Flats which is the slave quarters land mark next door. It is only about a half mile down the road on the left. In summary, bring a camera and some off.

Some walking trails with boardwalk over swamp water. 200 species of birds migrate through here and there are quite a few permanent residents. There are nesting waterfowl and I have seen alligators before. It is extremely hot and humid in summer, take H2O with you.
