No awkwardness, no fuss, just kindness. That alone made me feel comfortable booking. I took one of my dearest, oldest friends here as a surprise birthday gift, and we both had massages. Honestly, we are still talking about how amazing this experience was. My massage therapist, Ashley, was absolutely incredible. I've been dealing with shoulder pain for months, along with the general aches that come with being hypermobile, and she was so kind, skilled, strong, and thorough. I felt like I melted into the table. Several days later, my body still feels relaxed and loose. I genuinely can't remember the last time I felt this good. My friend has Bell's palsy and has been experiencing facial pain, so she asked her massage therapist if she could work on her face, and she did. When we met up afterward, I asked if she wanted to grab an iced coffee. This woman drinks EIGHT coffees a day and turned me down because she was so relaxed and comfortable that she didn't want to mess it up with caffeine! If you know a coffee addict, you know how significant this is. She said she felt so much relief, and seeing her that relaxed made me so happy. We also got complimentary body scrubs as part of the massage deal, and WOW. My skin is still ridiculously soft, like baby skin. Such a lovely bonus\! And Ashley even dried my feet for me. It's those little details that make you feel genuinely cared for rather than just another appointment on someone's schedule. From the moment you walk in, you feel welcome and taken care of. Between the thoughtful accommodations, the incredibly skilled therapists, and the overall experience, this was worth every penny. Whether you need some serious relaxation or want to treat someone you love, I cannot recommend this spa enough. I'll absolutely be back, and I'm so grateful we chose this place for such a special day together.

During the facial, Lisa explained each step and did an awesome job. My skin felt and looked great afterwards. They also have a small co-ed steam room that you can use. So if you have time, bring a swim suit to wear in the stream room. From start to finish, everyone was very nice and friendly.

I was nervous about teeth sensitivity so intentionally booked at the Gleamery after reading reviews…read more( a bit of a hike for me as I'm from Santa Barbara). Let me start by saying that this is NOT a relaxing process, however the staff at The Gleamery do their best....I was rigged up with compression boots, heated/ vibrating goggles, and constant checks by the hygienist. The only reason the process wasn't relaxing is due to the constant swallowing that is necessary throughout the process so as not to allow too much saliva to accumulate in the mouth and mix with the gel ( if I got TOO relaxed, I swallowed the bitter gel taste, which quickly jolted me back to reality). Note that I also opted for a cleaning, which was painless as well. While my results are not " Hollywood White" as I was expecting, they look natural and most importantly I experienced ZERO tooth sensitivity, nothing short of a miracle for me. The Gleamery sent me home with a goody bag that included sensitivity trays which I will save for my at home whitening between professional visits. Overall, a great experience although it dawned on me after I left that I had paid for a 60 minute teeth whitening session and only received 40 mins. ‍

I've never felt so uncomfortable at a "dentist" office before and that's saying a lot. I went back in and let the other girl know and they just nodded their heads like "ya that sucks" I canceled my future appointments and won't ever return to this place. Save your money and just go to an actual dentist office.

I've been seeing Felicia for 15 years -- I followed her when she left Facial Bungalow and started…read moreher own business, driving across town because she was worth it. That loyalty made my most recent visit all the more disappointing. I had a 10:50am appointment. The day before, Felicia texted asking if I could push to 11am. I said I'd try to rearrange my plans. She replied: "let's keep the 10:45." I managed to move things around (because if she was asking, I figured she was in need, and I wanted to help) and arrived at 10:57 -- 7 minutes late by the original booking, not 15. When I walked in, Felicia told me I was 15 minutes late. I explained I'd rearranged my schedule to accommodate her request. She shrugged and said "too bad, I already booked someone afterwards.". It wasn't until I was in the room that I checked the reminder email -- original appointment: 10:50. So by her own scheduler, I was 7 minutes late, not 15. Felicia eventually gave me an extra 5 minutes to make up for the mix-up, and I appreciated that. But the cold, dismissive way she started the appointment stayed with me. That's not how you treat someone who's followed you for 15 years. Part of why I see Felicia specifically -- and not one of those high-volume places with curtain walls and hospital beds for tables (you know the ones) -- is the whole experience. A facial should be calming and restorative, and Felicia's warmth has always been as much a part of that as her technique. When that warmth disappeared at the door, it colored everything that followed. The facial itself was top notch. Felicia is genuinely skilled, stays current on products and techniques, and can deliver a top-notch treatment in her sleep. I hope this was an off day, because the person that greeted me at the door was not the warm person that I've been loyal to for a decade and a half.
