He's busy because he does great work. If you are not serious about doing your project, I can see how Frank would not be serious about doing your project. We contracted Decks & More to replace our old deck with a deck and screened-in porch. Their quote was about 30% less than another deck company in Atlanta (company is large and has a sales team if that helps). The quote was about 1.5x what it would take to get contractors to do each part of the job individually (deck guy, roofing guy, electrician, painters, etc.). We decided that managing the project ourselves was not worth it. We were right. Frank came to the house for an initial consultation. He has a huge portfolio of options that he has done before. Frank is flexible with brands of decking, windows, etc. to meet our requests (other company had a deal with a composite decking manufacturer that they had to use). After a budgetary quote, he then requested a small deposit to begin designing the job. We liked this option because it avoids people wasting his time as mentioned in other reviews. We worked with Frank on a number of designs. We agreed on a few changes during the job too. Before starting construction, Frank puts everything in writing and follows it. We liked this as well. We made sure that all options and specifications that we wanted were in the contract, and Frank did the same. We all understood what the scope was. When we had a change during the project, Frank would scope the cost, sometimes it was no cost, and we would sign an addendum. Frank's team is unbelievably expert in putting up decks. They are fast. They really know what they are doing. Getting the painting done was a little of a delay, but Decks & More does not have full-time painters. And all painters are busy during the pandemic. We are glad that they could handle everything with the project. Electrical: installed a new circuit breaker, new exterior and interior power outlets, new porch light, new ceiling fan, recessed lighting. Paint: both interior and exterior paint and stain. Structural: installed roof, shingles, integrated roof into house roof, changed the gutter path, installed new gutters. Do yourself a favor and check out their website. Some pretty amazing projects.

What was surprising to us was that he would recommend less rather than more when more was not needed. he could have done made more money but chose to help us instead. The build was done quickly and effectively. The inspectors were impressed with the soundness of the work, we were impressed with the look and quality of the finished deck AND with the way Frank worked with us. I highly recommend Frank and his company! People who see the finished deck are amazed at the strength (it is a raised deck) of the build. One commented, "you could use it as a hurricane shelter!". Choose Decks and More, you will not be disappointed.

He did so, found mold and several other issues, and began addressing them immediately! He does a thorough job and always goes above and beyond what's requested of him. He's knowledgeable, kind, patient, and is a jack of all trades; it's tough to find professionals like him and Donny. So maybe their work is ok but organization and responsiveness is not good.

All of the people were very professional and we were very happy with the quality of their work. We had a few odd requests given the amount of work our home needs and our budget. We are very happy we chose to work with them and will be calling again when it's time for another project! Thank you! I've attached photos from Christian fixing the rot around our back door. He ended up having to replace the whole door. We requested adding a storm door and Christian installed the one we picked!

Deck screws were ran through the door trim, so much so that one pierced the outer skin of the RV. The rest? well, they are sticking out about 1/4" to 1/3". Who uses decking screws to attach trim?????? Decking screws were also used to attach a piece of wood behind the dining table, it split the wood. Dining table is very unstable and will not make it out of the drive way before bending over. Same for the electrical outlet under the bench table. Just barely hanging. Storage drawer in the bathroom is missing braces. That drawer wouldn't make 2 miles before the support braces broke. The floor was replaced. The rest?? BEWARE!! I think I could have gotten 10th graders from the local high school to do a better job and it sure wouldn't have cost $3,700.00. We will have to spend $800 - $1000 fixing all the things they left undone, not to mention the loss of use of the RV.

They were also the most expensive out of three companies considered. In response to Intown's reply: We did pay $600 more to fix the hidden trim work. As for changing the scope of the project, the recommended paint did not perform as described by Intown. We could not see our way clear to pay an additional $1,400 on a $14,000 job. We used to be one of those 1,400 satisfied customers. Sorry we could not work this out.

At first, I assumed it was one of my daughters transforming her dinner into a projectile, but it turned out to be something much more concerning--a leaking skylight. I called my friend that had recently told me how happy he was with some work he had done at his house on a water damaged bedroom. He recommended Intown Craftsman and I called them that very night. I received a response the next morning, a phone call from Russ Melton. He assured me a member of the team would arrive soon with an estimate and even invited me to call him personally if I didn't hear from the team soon. There was no need, I received an email and a call later that day. Russ showed up the next day and provided an estimate for the project. While I had him there, I showed him some other issues with the house that had been on my "to-fix list" and he provided an estimate for those projects as well. The cost was exactly what I expected, and I gave him the go ahead to schedule workers ASAP. They came within a few days, even though it was all happening around the Thanksgiving holiday. Jose and another roofer (sorry, I didn't catch his name) showed up early for the appointment but waited out front until the appointed time. They were courteous, kind (even to my very excited dog), and had the problem fixed in no time. They even installed additional flashing to the second skylight (which hadn't yet started leaking) just as a precaution, free of charge. The office staff were just as kind and professional as the roofers. I worked with Deb Burris who helped me with billing and scheduling. The interface for billing was simple, the contracts and estimates were clear and easy to understand, and she was very knowledgeable and responsive over texts, emails and calls. I will certainly be calling them again soon for those other household projects. I recommend using them if you have any home improvement or repair needs.
