Vegetarians seem to be forgotten by many otherwise-great chefs, and to actually be acknowledged is wonderful. Let me offer the following, with respect and only constructive intent: Statistics indicate that the vast majority of current vegetarians are former meat-eaters, myself included. And here's the thing -- when we get a craving for a burger, what we're mostly craving is the flavor and texture of a "real" hamburger. Your veggie burger was good, and again, the effort was most appreciated. But it was just a good sandwich. It didn't satisfy my hamburger craving. Usually an Impossible Burger or a Beyond Burger works just fine, and would probably save you a lot of trouble. - The mac n cheese side was delish, 5 stars. - Give this place a try. Really great folks.

My husband and I had our 9-month-old baby with us, and it felt very manageable even when he got a little vocal It took a little long to order our food, but it did look like the employees were covering tables, hostessing, and making drinks, so I give them credit for managing the busyness. I got the BBQ pork nachos, which were so yummy!! The portion was very giving, and my husband and I definitely could've shared, but I was happy to have it all to myself. My husband got the Panini Club. It was on the smaller side especially compared to mine, but it was still very tasty. We can't wait to come back here! A chill restaurant with great food.

Attended our nephews wedding reception here and the space is beautiful! We had a preview of the…read morevenue before the pandemic and got a really good idea of what things would look like on the big day. This barn is absolutely stunning, nestled off the road behind a forest. There are sliding barn doors on 3 sides so you can have an open air reception with a cross breeze if you desire, or all doors closed if that's your thing. There's plenty of seating inside, with several tables and chairs. To my understanding, the venue can rent out the tablecloths, serving platters, cake stands, lanterns, and just about anything else you need. In the back you'll find spaces for a dessert setup, full bar, multiple bathrooms, and a changing room for both the bride and groom. Outside is a beautiful wraparound patio, plenty of space for dancing, guest book signing and even food if you'd like. There's the cutest space down the stairs and by the lake for an on-site ceremony, with custom bench seating. This is a really nice event space, perfect for a wedding in the Spring, Summer or Fall. It's a little hike from Charlotte, but definitely worth it. Check out their story on their website. Such a dream!

I would highly recommend of having a wedding or fun event here at the Barn at Cedar Hill. The staff was great; they were positive, supportive, took care of the needs of the guests. It was my first wedding where they served Mexican food. It was delicious. The pull pork was great. Flavorful. Tasty. Guacamole was average. I also want to give a shoutout to the staff as they had activities to do for the kids that were present; soccer ball, football, bats, frisbee, etc. Overall, nice time at the venue.

There's never a bad time for a stroll through the Triad Farmers Market,…read morebut the heat of summer is going to treat you to a bevy of vegetables like you would not believe. You'll find the freshest picked everything, from cucumbers to tomatoes and all points between. The market is fully covered, providing some much needed shade, and there are some permanent vendors that have an indoor facility such as an ice cream parlor, candy and fudge, general store, etc. There are full bathroom facilities on site, and even a restaurant called the Moose Cafe at the back which served southern favorites. Of course, what is offered depends on the season. You'll find a bounty of selections starting in late spring, through the summer, and into the fall. In the winter, produce starts to become more sparse, but there is no shortage of places to buy your Christmas tree if you celebrate with one of those. Best advice is to bring cash, but many vendors can take a card these days. You may get charged a little extra for using plastic in some spots though, and to help with these folks margins, cash is preferable.
