Dr Rylance is so approachable, and easy to confide in. The main reason's that I feel this is because Dr Rylance listen's to what your concern's/ problem's are, and take's time to go through each of the area's of your concern's that you feel you may have. I highly recommend Dr Rylace at Parkview Surgery, Haverflatts Lane, Milnthorpe, LA7 7PS. There is one more reason, and I think that this is a very important reason and that I find myself writing this. It is I am always shown and treated with, dignity,respect,care and compassion at all time's. I never leave the surgery feeling I have been judged. Thank you.

I've seen three different doctors at this practice now and he's the only one who didn't make me feel as though he were rushing me out of the office. (My last appointment, with one of his colleagues, was literally over in four minutes flat, despite my questions about some complications I'm having with medication.) The practice itself seems efficiently managed. Appointments can be made online, which is really nice. You can check yourself in upon arrival and they generally run fairly close to on time.

Without exception, every member of the practice team, nursing team, and GP team is incredibly lovely, kind, considerate, and empathetic. They always take their time to listen, they reassure where they can, and they truly act within the best interests of their patients under their care. I have complex health needs and have been under the care of many, many health professionals and teams for the last 40 years (since I was a young child). I honestly don't give high praise lightly. In particular, I can't even find the words to articulate just how much praise and gratitude I have for Dr Taylor. There are many, many wonderful GPs; but she really is a shining light. In my particular…read morepractice ther are two receptionists who are excellent, the others seem to think its more than there job is worth to give you an appointment in the first week. It is the same with the doctors a couple are awful but the rest seem good, but you find it really hard to get an appointment with the good ones as they are always busy.

Once you get an appointment though, the Doctors are lovely - even locums, very thorough and they do take the time to explain things. Parking can be difficult around the surgery. The receptionists are actually quite nice! The waiting room is plain but clean and comfortable. The asthma nurse is fantastic with kids and really helped my son with explaining everything to him in a way he could understand.

The problem with the centre is that if you feel quite ill, but not an emergency then you are looking at at least a week to wait for an appointment. If you do have an emergency, then a nurse will call you back, sometimes soon but generally about a couple of hours later. HHmmmmm, not good if you're really ill!

The doctors seem to be decent - at least the ones I've seen! The staff are helpful which is always nice, and not always guaranteed in medical centres unfortunately. On the downside, there are often extremely long waits to see the doctor, and despite efforts to prevent this, it doesn't seem to be making a difference.
