Ralph drove a couple miles to jump my car, and then I followed him to the shop to get a new battery.

We walked in…read moreand there was the biggest selection of well-kept Prius we've ever seen among other various brands. Although we are fans of new technologies we were not particularly Prius lovers nor did we have deep knowledge of how they work; therefore, we were a bit apprehensive about what to expect, how much would the battery last, how much it would be to repair or replace it or other hard to pronounce mechanical components that could go wrong etc...We still wanted a cutting edge technology, gas saver, reliable vehicle to drive long distances and we knew this one had the potential to fulfill all of these. As we were looking around with absolute no "salesman pressure" on the radar we narrowed down two or three models we were interested in knowing more about so we walked into the office and met the owners. David and Melina were the kindest, honest and dependable people we've ever met at a car dealership, they allowed us to test drive all the cars we wanted and answered all the questions we had; that's right, they answered and didn't ask us about anything; well, I just turned 50 and I've always had to do my own brainwash before walking into a car dealership to make sure they don't convince me about buying something I really don't know if I want or I'm not ready for; to my happiest surprise, this was very relaxing and refreshing! I've never experienced something like this. On the technical side, I am not a mechanic by any means but I like to tinker with cars and I've repaired some simple parts on some other vehicles we've had; given this background, I was very pleased to see that the owners actually knew about these hybrid vehicles very well, not only that, they also offer very convenient services for refurbishing or replacing the batteries and other preventive maintenance and they are very open about what any particular car requires in order to keep them in good conditions. So, in other words, this is a place where the owners like and know what they sell, believe in a pressure free are very proud of their service and are prepared to provide some basic maintenance and repairs for a very reasonable price. My girlfriend and I are very happy to have found this place and we strongly recommend it. We bought a 2009 Prius on November 2015, it's running very well so far and if it ever needs anything fixed or maintained, we will go straight to this place.

I am African American, born in NC and have lived abroad and on the West Coast. I was called in to an interview with Mr. Bono in November of '25. Mr. Bono's first words were and I quote "You sure are overdressed for an interview with a bunch of "rednecks" The majority of AA's and other ethnicities, including Caucasians outside of the south, definition of "redneck" is southern bigot, coupled with a history of racial violence and prejudice. Then Mr. Bono chose not to interview me for the position I actually applied, and was actually overqualified for but the least in the sales department.., you know were the guys stand outside and accost you when you drive up to view a vehicle. I've done Mr. Bono's job multiple times in the past. It's almost to unbelievable to believe, such a southern stereotype. Aren't we done with this type of ignorance yet? I guess not. My rating is based on the aforementioned.

In 2016, my Civic had a check engine light on and would not pass inspection. I took this to Flow in Winston and Andy, the service manager, told me it would cost $500 to fix and replace an 02 sensor. I left and went to a small mechanic on Clemmonsville Road at a Texaco gas station. They replaced the 02 sensor and inspected my car for $100. I was furious and drove back and asked Andy why they were going to charge so much. Andy said "we were going to replace all of them". I didn't need all of them replaced. I felt shafted and no longer went to Flow. Fast forward to January 2026. I have a 2007 Honda Civic and took it back to Flow Honda in Winston. I knew it was a broken bolt tensioner and they affirmed that. The repair cost was $1500. I had no choice but to have them fix it as the car was undriveable and I had to go to work. They kept it overnight and when I was home I did my research. The costs for this repair exactly as Flow mentioned was between $400 to $600 dollars. Once again. Flow took money I did not have. The next morning, Marla from Flow text me and told me she had some good news and that Flow didn't have to hire an outside machinist to remove my bolt. So I asked was this going to save me money and she said "Yes". (See the attached text). So, I was relieved. I drove up to Flow and my final bill was $1596. I didn't save any money. In fact, it was $100 more than it was before I left. I understand Flow has trained mechanics and they are nice to give you a car to drive if you have to leave, but they charge 3x or more the average price of any other mechanic. If you are in a financial burden, find another mechanic before going to Flow. Honda cars are great cars and last forever but going to Flow for repairs will rob you. Also, I opened a complaint ticket with their customer support and I have not heard a word from them.

I had them do both of the used cars I bought and they lasted me forever with regular maintenance. In my experience everyone that works in this facility is honest, fair, they want to help people and they want them to be safe. This is the first and ONLY mechanic shop that I have been to as a woman where I wasn't treated like I was a dunce or less than. The employees here explain things in a way of informing you not persuading you or intimidating you with fear that if you don't complete the job something extraordinarily bad is going to happen. They give you realistic expectations on how much more you can drive until you need to really get it done which helps people that are on a budget. I think the prices are higher on average but the amount of service, attention, and thoroughness you get the price is very fair! I recommend this place to everyone I know especially women because I know how important it is to feel safe with mechanics and not like they are trying to get over on you! They did a complete inspection of my vehicle and emailed me the report, including pictures of the things they found wrong. I had no idea that my brakes were close to being bad, as well. They submitted a claim to my warranty company, but it got denied. That's a story for the review I wrote on that company's page. Luckily, Christian Brothers uses Affirm to allow you to finance your balance due. They walked me through how to sign up for it, and once everything was set, got to work on my car. I am very glad that they provide shuttle service if you live in the area. I took my car in at 7AM, and the work was completed around 4:30PM. I didn't have to sit in their waiting area all that time. I picked up my car and was only gone for about 5 minutes when I received a call from them. There has been some missed communication, and the guys in the shop had not done the alignment I had paid for. They told me to bring my car by any time to get it done. I give them a lot of credit for that phone call. They could have easily pocketed my money without performing the service, but they were honest about it. I stopped by the next morning and they got me right in.
