I believe this is the first location before the Front Street one. It expanded several years ago and…read morenow it has more treatment rooms plus two bathrooms. I also like how it has a glass door (wave to open) to separate the treatment areas from the reception waiting area. This place is where you can get massage therapy and acupuncture treatments. Each room is relaxing with tranquil or spa music being played (playlist is dependent on each practitioner). There is a basket to put your clothes and phone in the acupuncture treatment room. I see Dr Koh for acupuncture and she is wonderful. Very caring and she listens to your concern. In the past, I dislike needles so she usually uses baby needles or does more cupping on me. Now I still dislike needles but can tolerate them more, so I think she uses the regular needles on me now. Besides just cupping and acupuncture, she is a TCM, so she also takes my pulse to check how my organs/body are doing. She has suggested taking supplements and medicinal tea or avoiding certain food to help with the ailments. The front desk staff is always very friendly. Paid street parking out front. Sometimes I park at Anvil Center if there is no spots and walk across.

It might have been a five star experience, but since it's the only clinic (and thus, only…read morechiropractor) I've ever seen, I'm hesitant to go "YAY! IT'S A FIVE STAR EXPERIENCE, NEVERMIND THAT I'VE ONLY SEEN ONE!" Plus, I can always update this review once I see an RMT there... But for now, here's why it gets "Yay! I'm a (very enthusiastic, I might add) Fan!" 1. I saw Shaun Lemke. He was patient. He listened to me and made sure I was comfortable with everything he did. I appreciated his explanation and his demeanor. 2. I always used to say "I have never heard of someone who was healed by a chiropractor, but I know a lot of people who go all the time." As a result of Shaun's care, I know why they go. I'm inclined to believe that more often then not it's because it feels good, rather than because they need it. 3. You know when you see an RMT and you're like "man, I wish you would put a little more muscle into it?" Yeah, well, that's what chiropractors are for. 4. No B.S.? He healed me. When I walked in I was truly suffering from some neck woes that meant I couldn't look both ways evenly. I got about 90 degree rotation on the left, but only about 80 on the right. When I left, I could go 90 either way. So I'm a fan. The office assistant was nice, the place was clean, I was fixed and comfortable... and now I'll be back. Probably for that other neck thing he said he'd do when I was comfortable with chiropractic treatments. And after that? Well, my pinky hurts, so I should probably go get an adjustment.

She's friendly, well-trained and always double checking that what she's doing is alright, as opposed to some prior Chiropractors who would just manipulate me with no advance warning. I've also seen both Jamie and Cindy as RMTs (Cindy for at least 10 years now I think), and both are fantastic. Can't say enough good things about the clinic as a whole. And the online booking option now on the website and E-transfer payments make everything so easy!!! 10 stars out 5, in a heartbeat!

I have seen Michael Wiebe RMT for massage on multiple visits so this is not a one off visit…read more Michael is calm, collective, and a real pro at what he does. Michael has been massaging people for well over ten years and it shows. The type of massage I prefer is deep tissue focusing on problem areas (orthopedic massage) which Michael excels at. Instead of the usual relaxing Swedish for the entire session, Michael will rely on his carefully selected and proven modalities based on his many years of experience to provide a balanced treatment. Some RMTs will give you a spa massage despite you asking for otherwise. Michael listens. The first time Michael worked on my shoulders, I could feel my rotators and upper back gently spasm as they finally released after eons of stress from computer work! No other RMT has been able to do that. The location of the clinic is perfect on the street level. I usually park my bike up at Cap's close by. Skytrain is also a short walk. My highest recommendation!

Unreal experience! I made an incredibly last minute appointment and was very happy to even get in,…read morebut was blown away on the positive and efficient service not to mention the crazy effective massage. Highly recommend Jacob Anderson (RMT at MR Massage Therapy Clinic). I had a massive hike preceding a long weekend of sports so full body muscle soreness; in addition I tend to have constant neck pain which gives me all-day headaches. I was just looking to get a quick fix on the weekend soreness and had remembered recently looking at a Facebook post mentioning Maple Ridge Massage Therapy Clinic had some fantastic RMTs so I made an appointment with Jacob Anderson, a RMT at the clinic. I walked in and was nervous on my last minute decision because the clinic wasn't 100% aesthetically pleasing but I was greeted positively, swept into my appointment on time, had a quick 5 minute conversation with Jacob regarding exactly what I wanted to get from the appointment, followed by him giving me a mini game-plan describing how he was going to make that happen. He had such great relaxing tunes, I like having occasional spurts of commentary but not the entire time and he read my social cues perfectly, he was an incredible RMT and knew exactly what he was doing, it was very sports-massage esque which is what I needed; I was just overall impressed. I walked away less bodily sore and my neck felt great, I didn't have headaches for days (which is fantastic for me). He had small feasible recommendations of what I should do to improve my neck and back. It was also reasonably priced for the hour I booked for. I 100% will be going back and recommend Jacob to whomever needs a bodily fix up. Thanks Jacob!

My mom recommended this place because she had been going consistently for her frozen shoulder…read more After a few weeks of treatment she improved so much and maintained her condition and is doing well. I myself have started going for my neck and shoulder. Andrew Taylor one of the physiotherapists there is great! I highly recommend him. He has a lot of knowledge, he listens and does a lot of manual therapy (ie not just puts a machine on you, gives you stretches and exercise and leaves you be). He does a good combination of everything and has a lot of techniques, he uses muscle release, ultrasound, joint mobilizations, manipulations and even acupuncture. He doesn't specialize in it, another physio in the clinic does . but they do offer assessment and treatment for mechanical vertigo and dizziness which not all clinics have. The price is decent and standard as any physio clinic. Acupuncture costs $5 more per session but can be integrated in so you don't need a separate appt or anything. I needed a note for my work he happily provided an update at no charge which I know some places can charge a lot for sometimes. Its located convinienty in Burnaby. Across from bonsor community center so only a 5-10min walk from metrotown skytrain. You can walk through the mall and exit the foot court near the Disney store and that will get you pretty close. The 106 bus on kingsway is right outside. They validate parking as well if you give them your receipt. Andrew takes appointments after work hours which is perfect for my schedule.
