Today, I went to this market to get some Xpressions braiding hair.
Prior to driving to this market I called and asked if they carried Xpressions braiding hair, after the woman replied yes, I then asked if they had color 1, after she replied yes to that, I then asked if it would be possible for me to buy at least 4 or even more packs of Xpressions hair, before I could even finish my sentence she cheerfully cut me off and said, "Just come!"
So at that point, I'm under the impression that she has more than enough of the specific color that I want to supply my needs. . .
When I got to the location, I was greeted with a warm hello and smile, charmed by her African hospitality I walked in with a happy attitude . But anyway, I asked her if she had any Xpression braiding hair again, and she realized that Iam the woman who called her
The horror began immediately, FIRST of all rather than directing me specifically to where the hair was, she shooed me to the back with her hand saying it's "back there" (as if I had been there before) although confused, I eagerly go to the area I was shooed to excited to get my hair and as Im sifting through this ( might I add unorganized bin of assorted hair colors) I find that after a few minutes of searching there are only TWO packs of color 1 Xpression braiding hair .
I bring this to her attention, and she tried to persuade me to buy color 2 saying that they look almost the same (which they won't once the sun hits the braids) and that she doesn't have enough color 1 to suit my needs.
At this point I'm angry because I called her, and clearly asked her if she had ENOUGH of color one to supply me, and rather than her HONESTLY responding saying NO, and saving me gas ,money and time she cheerfully replied yes with her money hungry heart ready to take my money.
The rest was down hill at that point, she ended up eavesdropping on my conversation with my mother and began to SCREAM, "Don't you ever call me a liar in your life" because she over heard me tell my mom that she lied to me about having what I wanted.
As a customer, you are always right. (Okay not always) But overall the store is open to serve - serve who ? Oh yeah ME the customer, not only did I not get served because I was lied to but I was disrespected by her numerous out of pocket insults.
To top it all off the store is an unorganized mess, and she lacks professionalism, at one point she left the store unattended while customers were inside.
I'll give West Coast African Market ONE star for initially making me feel welcomed . . . read more
