West Bridgford Library - Libraries Near Me - Nottingham, NTT

Whenever I'm away, this is the place I miss the most. I can't wait to get back there at the weekend! It's a smallish library, but there's a great selection of books, and a good study area with all the reference books to hand. The computer terminals are all internet connected, you just need to get yourself a password. You're only allowed an hour online if there's a queue (and there often is), but hey it's free! The librarians are always friendly and helpful too. The only thing that's missing is Sunday opening and a coffee shop. ;-) read more

This is exactly what you would expect from a County Library. There are lots of books. There is a large collection of spoken word tapes and cds. There is a large collection of music cds. They have a few computers with access to the internet. The children's book selection is excellent, and they cater really well for the younger kids by having a fenced off play area, where books are not the only emphasis. They run a number of events through the week including courses for computer literacy, children's singalongs etc. It is a well-used library, as the facilities are excellent. It of course costs nothing to join the library - just a proof of identity. A terrific facility that our council tax goes towards so get out there and use it! read more

I love this place and in fact I still have my card from joining here over four years ago! Like most things in West Bridgford, the library is absolutely wonderful. Housed in a lovely building with good access, the atmosphere is quiet, relaxed and welcoming, the staff are always very helpful, the facilities are good for such a small place and the local news and interest board is always up to date and informative. Great for studying, browsing and reading. read more

This is an excellent library in a good location. The library is on two floors and is well set out. There is a great range of books, cds and dvds for children and adults. There is a great children's section upstairs which has a soft play area. There are computers that you can use to access the internet for free. There is a good and quiet study area. They have a photocopier so you can pay for photocopies. It is easy to access the library and there is a good sized car park next to the building where you pay to park. Most of the staff are friendly and helpful. read more

One of the best llibarys I have been to, there is a corner for children to play, a large selection of books and spoken word tapes.

A really exellent library with very helpful staff. a very good area for children upatairs. in west bridgeford centre is easy to find and easy to park. read more
