Did not seem sorry, and then asked what I wanted to do with the body. Who does that? That kitten was loved by my grandkids and family. He adored my dogs, and I couldn't even brush my teeth without him splashing the water. He was NOT replaceable and I never dreamed using this vet would KILL my cat. Please don't go there ever if you want to keep your pets. I am devastated. They charged me $39 for the procedure and then it was $145 to have him cremated. Instead of paying $200 for a neuter, I paid $200 for my cats ashes and I will never see him again.

Cannot say enough good things about Doctor Jacob and the entire staff. I had an older, seemingly…read morehealthy dog, that suddenly got sick. Rushed him to an emergency clinic (over a thousand dollars later) was told it was an an abscess. Regular house call vet from Valley Center either over booked or didn't want to get dirty couldn't make a home visit (to follow up) and within 2 weeks my dog was blind. Doc at Sedwick went above and beyond. Spent a long time explaining options, non judge mental, sat on the floor with me, consoled me. I wanted to take him home because he was stable at that time. Let me start by saying that if I were solely rating the veterinarian's and their care, I would give…read morePV a 5. However, if your pet for any reason might need medication, I would strongly recommend against choosing Prairie Vista. For the past week and a half we have been requesting a medication refill only to be ignored by the pharmacy at PV. In fact, when you call PV, you are required to leave a message rather than getting to speak with a pharmacist. After almost 2 weeks of being extremely cordial and respectful during phone calls, I finally called PV and felt forced to leave a rather demanding voicemail - this was when someone FINALLY called me back after 5+ phone calls cumulatively between my husband and myself. When I requested the medication be transferred to a new veterinarian, they did not get it done the same day. The following day, when their vet technician was in, the wrong information was sent to our new vet over 4+ times before being done correctly (to no fault of the vet technician, as I assume she was being forced to do this work all alone.) All in all, we are literally being forced to switch vets due to PV lack of communication and responsibility. So, if your pets might need regular medication, this is going to have to be a no go.
