oh majesty building... my sweet babe. my sister took me by here for my birthday last week. everyone…read moreknows how much i love it HAHA. it's become a bit of a running joke, but i get tons of texts and snapchats of photos of this building from my people now that i live across the country. the best part of this building is how it is a shining beacon of a gps marker. sometimes your google maps starts failing, but ms. majesty will never let you down. you know it's time to exit for the altamonte mall, or that you aren't too far from downtown orlando when you drive by her! you could also find a good spot to sit and probably get a good tan at the right time of day. the glare from her gorgeous windows is blindingly beautiful. emphasis on the blind part. and finally, this is a promise of jobs for the great people of central florida. a very empty promise, but it's there... i-4 eye sore? sticks and stones, people. she will always be the one i(4) adore.

I'm a sucker for Bieber and Miley. -- How to immediately date a Yelp review. But it's not just the hits that make this a good station. Hell, I could listen to Pandora for that. The truth is, it's the people that make this station. And never was that more evident than after the Pulse shootings this year. When none of us knew what to do and were sick of listening to hours and hours of people outside of Orlando tell us about our city we were able to turn to this station to hear familiar voices (the Johnny's House folks and other DJs) going through the same things we were all feeling, in a real and vulnerable way. That took guts for them to process what was happening in real time. Publicly. And it certainly wasn't something I would've been able to do. Which made me really appreciate them more. So, yeah, it's a top40 pop station. But it's also proudly Orlandoan and pretty darn sincere. And that is pretty darn badass.
