There is a selection of smaller items which would be great gifts for people, and a box of greeting cards which are so sarcastic and borderline offensive, that I couldn't resist buying 4 on my last visit - the one I'll be giving my dad for his birthday will either make or break our relationship! It's a good place to look for a present for the person who has everything as you're bound to find something in here they haven't got. The shop can get very busy with people looking at things so be careful not to knock anything fragile off the shelves as you're weaving past other shoppers. Also, as part of their ethical stance, Evolution don't particularly like giving plastic bags out but you'll get a beaming smile if you tell them you don't need one.

Avoid this vendor at all costs. I ordered a cream clock in May of 2013. I was sent a black clock…read moreand informed Derek Demetrius (the owner) immediately. He told me that I had been sent an email informing me that the cream clocks were out of stock and that I would be sent a black clock instead. I never received any such email, and this was the first of many such lies to come. The vendor agreed to have the item picked up and said he would refund the cost. However, it took until November 2013 (6 months later) for the clock to be picked up (it was very large and heavy and I was not prepared to pay the cost of returning it myself). It is now January 2014 and I still have not received my refund of over £200. Over the past 8 months I have sent Derek Demetrius over 40 emails and have called him numerous times. Each time he has either said he would look into it and get back to me (which he never did) or he would give me yet another excuse. I am now over £200 out of pocket and have wasted an inordinate amount of time. The latest excuse was that he could not return the money to my Visa card because the account had been closed. He then said that he would transfer the money directly to my bank account but it has still not arrived, despite me stating that I wanted it today. I will be contacting trading standards about this company in the morning.

Bought 15 rolls of wallpaper only to get home and the decorator noticed that every roll of wallpaper was faulty and didn't match even though all the batch codes were the same. After paying the decorator for his time and having to get a taxi back up to the shop i'm quite out of pocket. Stick to B&Q or Homebase if you want good quality this season wallpaper
