Stopped in for lunch on my way home from SC. My husband ordered a Dave's single combo meal and I ordered a single sandwich. Sandwich and fries were good. This location is currently opened for carryout. They had designated 6 ft social distancing stickers on the ground, but not all patrons followed them. They had plexiglass at the registers, but I thought that defeated safety precautions since several employees behind the plexiglass were not wearing a mask. There's so much going on here that's wrong I don't know where to begin. Let's start with the first impression as we walked in. Garbage cans full, crumbs and shit on some of the tables while the floor looks like it hadn't been cleaned/mopped this year. Next let's move to the food. No salads, no apple chunks and everything that was ordered took a solid 20 until it was ready. I also can't get forget the fries which apparently were dredged thru a salt bath before hitting their cardboard home. So far so good right? Wait, it gets better. Time to talk about the service. The cashier, who wisely chose not to wear a name tag, would disappear in between orders to go talk with a co-worker that was sitting down eating. When someone new came to the register she would eventually slither over after making you wait a few minutes. Her persona was that of someone on death row ready to meet a firing squad. Head down, no eye contact while mumbling as if she had marbles in her mouth. The best part was some dude two orders after me starts questioning her about why she's moving so slow telling her that if she's acting like this she should just quit. She responds that she doesn't want to be there and is trying to get fired but no one there will do it. Always a good idea to tell paying guests that you're begging to be fired while within ear shot of a manager looking type who was busy shuffling around with a clipboard looking at things but seemingly doing nothing. The stuff here was barely edible and you would get more emotion if you would staff the place with a bunch of Walking Dead zombies. Please go somewhere else. I walked in this morning to order breakfast for the road for my family and my my... The doors were open and when I came in, a worker walked past me to open another door so I'm thinking - maybe they aren't open. I get to the counter and there is a worker serving someone at the drive through, so I'm like - ok they are open. I stand at the register waiting to be greeted and another male worker comes from the back and says, "Oh y'all opened the doors?" ... then proceeds to go out the back door. Still waiting to be greeted. After about five minutes (I'm one of two customers in the store), I asked another (this is the third one I saw) worker if they are serving food and she looked at me, looked away and said something on her headset. As I'm walking to the door, a younger male comes to the register and apologizes for the wait. I told him that it's not his fault, but the other three workers that I saw that SAW ME and didn't say one word. If you're closed, say that. If you just opened, ask me to give you a minute. I am upset because of the number of times I was looked at and not spoken to.... I have no problem waiting if you tell me you need a minute. The poor young man was apologetic and asked me to order, but I had to let him know that because of his coworkers lack of customer service, I wouldn't be ordering. read more

Maybe the one star reviews for this place are old because this is one of the best Wendy's I've ever been to. It also has a dog park and a starbucks next to it which is cool. read more

Was the worst Wendy's I've ever been too. There was no one at counter so we ordered at kiosk. When our names came up as ready they were not. We sat there for 40 minutes after they said our order was ready. When I went to ask the lady then proceeded to yell saying we had people at the counter before you who ordered. There was no one at the counter. Everyone ordered from the kiosk. I work in food so I understand, but when you say food is ready it should be in the customers hand not ready and then waiting 40 minutes for it to actually be ready. read more

The staff gathering the orders were super efficient though...they definitely were working their hineys off and hustling to get the orders out. I stopped in here on 6-6-2022 en route to a much-needed Florida vacation. The host was "Melquan." I ordered to eat in because I don't drive and eat. I do have my limits. I ordered the large combo of the double cheeseburger with ONLY mustard, pickle, lettuce, and tomato with large fries and a large drink. I needed the large drink for the refills on the rest of my trip. I get thirsty! Cost $11.89. This experience could have been a lot better. Here's what happened. First "no greeting" by Melquan. I stood there until I got a greeting. Awkward silence doesn't bother me. I welcome it. Dirty condiment counter. Trash in the area for the straws. Trash on the floor. FLIES!! Water at the drink area....on the counter. Water and a wet floor in the standing area. This is not the expectation of Wendy's. Having said all that, the food was exactly what I was expecting from Wendy's. Now for the bathroom. Paper on the floor (clean paper). Water on the counter. I'm suspecting that this place has a problem with the plumbing based on the standing water in the parking lot at the gas station/store. Suggestion: Do better because I know that you can. This was a convenience stop because I was getting gas. I'm not sure that I would make it again unless I needed gas AND I was hungry. read more

This is the slowest "fast food" restaurant I have ever encountered and I eat here pretty often as I work in the area and there are limited options. The cook making the food, is not wearing any type of hair net-- with a ponytail whipping around her shoulders and hair as red as her shirt. I guess if it falls in the food it'll be easy to see. Only one order is taken at time and filled to which the service is less than pleasant and the workers are yelling "shut up" and "that's a you problem" to each other. Mind you I wrote this whole review after standing waiting for my order for 15 minutes not Including how long I waited to get my order taken. Beware if you're looking for a quick meal on the road. Short version: This store basically stole my credit card when I went through the drive thru, refused to acknowledge their mistake, and after three phone calls, including one to corporate Wendy's, finally returned it a week later with no real apology or compensation of any kind. This was literally the worst customer service experience I've ever had. Long version: I was driving home to DC from visiting my grandmother and used this Wendy's drive thru. I didn't notice that the cashier had never returned my card until I tried to use it the next day. I immediately called the store and spoke to the store manager, who was extremely rude. She confirmed that they had my card but said they wouldn't return it to me unless I drove back to get it. I said that I lived three hours away and she said I should just cancel it. At no point did she offer an apology, try to sympathize, or be remotely helpful even though I said I was happy to prove my identity. I hung up with her and immediately called cooperate Wendy's, who said they would elevate it to the store owner and regional manager level and I should hear back soon. Two days later, they get around to calling me back. When I call back the following day, the same nasty store manager says that they will send it back to me but once they send it they refuse to take any responsibility for it. When I ask how they are going to compensate me since I've now been missing my card for four days at that point, she had the audacity to say that it was my fault for not immediately calling her back, even though this store refused to address their own mistake for three days and only did it at all because I called corporate! After I said that was unacceptable, she said that they could maybe send coupons. After I said they was unacceptable, she said she'd see what she could do. In the end, I got the card back a week after they took it with a gift card that supposed had $25, which I would still consider insufficient, and that actually had zero value on it. I can't even begin to explain how much I regret the decision to not eat literally anywhere else. Not only will I never eat here again, but I won't be eating at Wendy's at all anytime soon. Given the fact that this place is at a rest stop mostly frequented by travelers, it's a shame that they have ill-trained, shameless employees who refuse to take responsibility for their actions, because I can guarantee I'm not the first or last person that will lose their card there! read more

STONY CREEK VIRGINIA WENDYS: Drive thru experience wasn't that great! Why ask for sauce if you`re not going to supply it in the bag. On top of that, I was asked to move forward when there were absolutely no cars behind me. I was disappointed with the service at the window as well. The guy running the cash register did not greet me. I have worked in this industry for many years and can tell you, I expected more. This is the first time I have ever decided to eat at Wendy's and when we walked in the workers were arguing with another group of people because the salad was disgusting. We ordered and about 45 minutes later our food was ready (I thought this was supposed to be fast food) and they gave our order to another family. About another 20 minutes later half of our order came out and my friend ordered a Dave's single without cheese and they gave her cheese. She is lactose so we asked for another burger without cheese. The end result was just two buns and a patty with a dollop of ketchup. On my burger I didn't know if it was barbecue sauce or something else but it was disgusting. We finally got the rest of our order and we were not satisfied so we left in hurry. Don't eat here I feel like everyone that goes in has a problem there. read more

Wendy's in Tri-City area (Petersburg, Hopewell, and Colonial Heights) as well as Chester, Va are the worst I have ever seen so I decided to drive 20 miles because I missed the 'Real Wendy's' Went way out of my way driving to this Wendy's hoping to get decent food and a salad. There were only 3 people working and none of them knew what they were doing. The cook kept putting the wrong items out for the cashier and he took about 3 minutes to make one item. The cashier could not remember more than one thing at a time and kept going back to the register each time she got one item for the bag. She was totally confused and disorganized. The manager was not better. Ok, long story short, only a few people in the restaurant but it took them almost 15 minutes to fill the 3 orders that were waiting. In this time, they were not taking any more orders at the register. Finally, she gets to us -- I am behind one family at the register. After taking nearly 5 minutes just to get his order right in the register, she finally gets to me. No smile, no greeting just a sarcastic "can I take your order." The first thing I asked for was the Berry Salad. She said, "We don't have that salad here." WHAT? They have signs all over the restaurant and pictures on the ordering board with the price. She simply stated it was advertisement. I left and went to McDonalds. Not the best choice, but definitely a step above Wendy's. If you are traveling on Interstate 95 and anywhere from Richmond to North Carolina, do yourself a favor and do not stop by any Wendy's. They are all bad in this area -- nothing like the Wendy's I was used to in the Hampton Roads area. read more

Single star establishment. Food was good, however we ordered salads that required them to ditch the pre-made salads that they pre-make every morning. No telling what the pre-made salads are like. Unsure of the level of food handling safety the place is set to operate at as the cashier did not where gloves when she added cheese to the salad. Very sloooooooowww service on a Sunday, no one was in a rush or had a sense of urgency. I stand by having patience for anyone in the food/beverage industry because realistically, mistakes happen. Recently I've been working from home and staying in my pjs all day so I find it convenient to go to this Wendy's but find the service to be incredibly horrible.. I can't think of one time in the past 6 times I've been there where they did not mess up my order to the point where I've had to turn around and drive all the way back. Every time I've been polite to them and have not expressed any grief over the whole situation. Last week when I went I was charged for 2 large chili's when I only ordered 1 small. Last night I got a mile down the road before noticing I had not been given my drink that I was charged for in a combo. Today I ordered a large coke (as on the receipt) and got a sweet tea. I turned around went back, waited in line only for them to give me another sweet tea!(should have tried it while still in line) Third time I go, wait in line again, they finally give me a coke. The wait in the drive through is painstakingly long, I paid and was waiting at the window for 12 minutes just to get my food. I only ordered one burger and 4 pieces of chicken nuggets, and the store wasn't busy. The food was warm and good enough. The employee in the drive through wasn't the friendliest either, when I ordered I felt I was rushed but when I was waiting for my food it was really long and the employee just gave me the food without saying anything. Slowest Wendy's on planet earth. We pulled up behind one car already at the drive through speaker. After ordering for the length of time it takes to listen to "stairway to heaven" they pulled forward and we quickly placed our order. We pulled up behind them at the window, waited so long we put the car in park, at which point the employee finally walked over and took their credit card. Two stairway to heavens later they got their one bag of food and we pulled up at which point I started this review... Two drafts later our food came out and it WAS hot and fresh; they must have been hunting down a chicken for my nuggets.
