It is always a bit nerve wracking to try a place that seems to open early for tourists but this place quickly filled up with locals grabbing a drink or with small children. It did seem like a place that would have a cool vibe come 8-9 pm and while they did have outdoor seating in between the streets we opted to sit inside. Service as you might expect was a little slow and the waitress walked away half way through out drink order but we eventually got food and and beverages ordered and fresh, hot, crusty bread was delivered to the table. The carbonara was out of this world. The guanciale was so crispy and salty and complimented the rich egg sauce perfectly. Meatballs were hot with a light sauce and a slice of bread underneath soaking up all the juices that would be a sacrilege to leave behind. I really enjoyed the 4 cheese pizza as well. I think thick, chewy crusts aren't for everyone but I like that style. The mix of cheeses gave a good flavor and little bite. I would definitely recommend it for the food especially if you need something on the earlier side.
