She had to tell the rude lady Jewel(white) to assist the other lady that was sitting in the waiting room and her response was she didn't know anyone was back there she saw someone came in through ambulance. The sweet lady was like no it's literally someone sitting in the waiting room. Jewel responds with I can't keep sitting here with this light flickering I knew then she was going to be a problem. So when it came time for me to have vitals done Jewel called me I sat in the chair it's 6am I'm sick and had been sick for days with flu like symptoms and my temperature would not drop. So she says she's going to do a Strep flu and Covid I said I had a flu and Covid test done yesterday because I was at another Urgent care yesterday and it was negative and the Dr informed me if my Temperature didn't drop to go to the Emergency room so that's what I did she tells I'm going to call him Nurse Nick I think that's his name (he has a nose ring) she tells him I refused testing I said no I never refused it I just told her that I was tested yesterday and it was negative. He said our test checks for everything and sometimes the rapid test doesn't pick up everything so he tested me and swabbed my throat. Simple and after I got my clinical notes I see that she also fabricated that I wouldn't take off my jacket and that she advised me too such a liar they need to put her somewhere else because dealing with people is not it. She's such a liar and maybe just maybe she was having a bad day but to think the amount of people that have to deal with that while being sick is crazy. I did have the sweetest nurse Josie so kind and compassionate and cared about me feeling better I truly appreciate her and the nose ring nurse and the RN that checked me in wish I could've gotten her name.

I went to the emergency room at Coliseum MC and was admitted that night and the surgery done a day later. There is no way anyone can say that being hospitalised and having surgery was an enjoyable experience. At least not in my opinion. But the doctors and staff at Coliseum medical centre made this at the very least a very comfortable stay and I felt very safe as far as the virus was concerned. I was on the 5th floor. The nurses, the phlebotomists and the entire staff on the 5th floor are nothing short outstanding. The hospitalists and the entire medical entourage were very professional, competent, and attentive with regular visits, inquiries and updates before and after surgery. The surgery was performed with robotic assist by Dr. John Thomas Williams. I am looking forward to my final visit with him so I can personally thank him for his excellence. I am 73 years old and I've had 3 other laparoscopic surgeries without the benefit of the robotic assist. This stuff is nothing short of amazing in regards to the amount of pain after surgery. From a medical viewpoint we are living in the "good old days". Being hospitalized and having surgery could never be called fun. But, the attention rendered by Coliseum Medical Center, to my comfort, concerns, and condition were all attended to with excellence.

Macon Coliseum N.S. is being penalized by Fed Gov for high infection rates. April 20, 2016: 17 year old patient ACQUIRED two forms of RESISTANT BACTERIA (Serratia Marcescens - a U.S. Navy Biological Weapon AND Staph) DURING SHOULDER SURGERY at Macon Coliseum N.S. Hospital. Patient began running a high fever (up to 103.6) within 36 hours of surgery. Patient was taken to Macon Coliseum N.S. Emergency Room due to horrific shoulder pain at the surgery site and a high fever where the ER nurse made an error while administering his IV. The ER Nurse then proceeded to administer a dose of morphine underneath the patient's skin which allowed the patient to remain in agony for an extended length of time. The ER Nurse finally administered a second IV dose of morphine (again, underneath the patient's skin), turned out the light in the patient's room and instructed the patient to calm down due to his extremely elevated blood pressure. She left the patient. The patient suffered until a SECOND ER nurse checked on him and noticed the large lump of morphine underneath the patient's skin. Nurse 2 corrected the IV error and administered a 3rd dose of morphine which gave the patient some relief. The ER physician ordered a dose of intravenous Bactrim antibiotics and released the patient without obtaining a tissue sample from the surgery site. Several days later the patient was hospitalized for 8 days at Navicent Health for a resistant bacterial infection & emergency shoulder surgery was performed in order to cut out the bacterial infection from the patient's muscle tissue. The patient was treated by Infectious Disease and discharged with a PICC Line to continue two IV Antibiotic treatments - Rocephin & Vancomycin for 6 weeks. Several weeks later, the patient was rushed to the local ER with excruciating abdominal pains, hospitalized for 3 days in order to perform emergency gallbladder removal surgery, bile duct surgery and a biopsy that confirmed liver damage CAUSED BY THE SUPER ANTIBIOTICS. Lab tests confirmed damage was consistent with the use of Rocephin & Vancomycin IV antibiotics. The 17 year old patient will now struggle for the rest of his life with a 30% mobility in his dominant right arm due to inadequate healthcare services in addition to organ loss/damage. Macon Coliseum N.S. was one of many Georgia hospitals being penalized by the Federal Government for a HIGH RATE OF INFECTIONS which patient's are not made aware of when they elect to have surgery at a high infection facility.

I want to take a moment to thank the staff at Northside Hospital Gwinnett, especially the PC Unit…read more1200. First, I want to recognize the Emergency Room staff. They were prompt and immediately saw about my mother, Miss Dennis, and made sure she was admitted and received the attention she needed. In moments like that, quick action means everything to a family. I also want to recognize the attending physician, Dr. Herschel W. Smith, who admitted my mother to the PC Unit. He was amazing. He saw the need for immediate care and made sure my mother was taken care of and placed where she needed to be. His attention and action made a real difference for our family. One nurse stood out the most -- Nurse Charlize. She truly understood her assignment. During a very stressful time while my mother was being cared for, I had many questions and a lot of emotions. Even when there were things she could not answer because she wasn't the doctor, she reassured me and helped calm my spirit. She listened, not just as a nurse but as a compassionate human being. I was even able to share some personal things that were weighing on me, and she took the time to hear me. That kind of care matters more than people realize. I have been a private nurse in the state of Georgia for 26 years and have worked with many families, including some of the wealthiest in Buckhead. I left that work to care for my own mother, and I know firsthand that true caregiving requires passion, patience, and heart. Nurse Charlize showed all of those qualities. To the doctors, I apologize if my frustration showed. I just wished I had understood more about my mother's condition sooner rather than waiting many hours for answers. But I appreciate that the team continued working toward the best care. Moments like these reveal people's character. When someone is frustrated, it takes a special person not to respond with the same energy. Nurse Charlize handled everything with professionalism and grace. Thank you, Northside, for caring not only for my mother but also for the family standing beside the patient. That compassion matters. -- Author M. Clark

There is a charge for parking (first 30 minutes is free, so no worries if you have a quick delivery). It's $3 for the whole day should you need to stay a few hours. Not sure if they validate (I don't want to have to visit the hospital that much to find out). There is both covered and uncovered parking depending on your preference. The facilities that have been renovated and are complete feel fresh and inviting. The elevators are smooth and most of the interior looks brand new [from when it was Gwinnett Medical]. Cheers to great customer service and fulfilling your duties Northside Gwinnett!

Labeled me confused WHEN I COULD NOT HEAR AND told them I could not hear them am hearing impaired. Treated me for a STROKE THAT I DID NOT HAVE . Told me I DID NOT HAVE HIGH blood pressure when I DO and it was that REASON I was there, was a reaction to a blood pressure medicine I was taking. They kept me for THREE days running tests that WERE NOT MY PROBLEM and did NOT treat me for what WAS my problem. Never gave me a replacement for blood pressure, ignored the pain I was in from the medicine I was taking. Said I had pain in my neck and arms WHICH IS FALSE. Told them I took medicine for my heart, they IGNORED, told them I had sleep apnea and needed a machine at night, which they IGNORED. Once they finally believed me and released me I had to go to Griffin Medical Center to get the help I STILL NEEDED, where I was treated in a DOCTORS OFFICE and released the same DAY. Now waiting on all the bills that will come in THAT I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY.
