The first week she was very depressed which I assume is normal, we talked and I told her she had to really work hard in physical therapy so she could come home. She did work really hard, and she made the best of it while she was there. Mom is home now and I think she is doing even better than before she broke her pelvis as her gait was a bit wobbly pre-fall. Now she is doing so much better and I am entirely happy that they took such great care of my mom. When you bring your loved ones here, reassure them that it is normal to be depressed the first week, but tell them they have to eat to keep their strength up and they really have to work hard in therapy so that they can go home. Thank you to the nurses, techs, cnas, therapists, etc. I am so thankful for all you have done for us.

That reviewer obviously is too easily offended. I'd be curious to know what she thinks is funny. I'm more concerned with the level of treatment my relative receives than what makes folks who work there laugh. Actually, I'm offended by the one star review for such a lousy reason. It's like the person who gives a doctor one star because they thought they waited too long in the waiting room to see him or her.

Never againnow I received another bill from the emergency physicians who weren't able to get the insurance info for billing from the hospital. Inefficient system that we as consumers should not tolerate.

George went above and beyond because he called the radiology department itself to make sure the appointments could be done, he made sure he had all of the MRI orders organized for the appointment, and checked on the insurance as well. As a result, I am looking forward to this experience because it will really help with my medical care and I know that Baycare cares about its patients and wants them to have an excellent experience. I took my one year son into the ER due to him having a pretty big bump on his head for a week that turned squishy. When we arrived, we got in very quickly, the nurse was very nice, but when it came to my son's care when the doctor came in he did a very quick assessment and said he is fine and that if should go down in a couple of days and to follow up with his pediatrician. I followed up with his pediatrician and she ordered an ultrasound. The ultrasound came back and now we're being referred to a neurosurgeon at John Hopkins. Since they do imaging there at baycare hospital why did they not suggest an ultrasound just to check the fluid levels, etc. I did not think to ask for one because I had no idea you could and I had trust in the doctor. We could have already known what's going on with his head at this point if they would have at least done an ultrasound. This bump has now been there for three weeks. I feel they should have done better and suggested an ultrasound!

Granted they are usually in our lives during the most difficult, trying and emotional times we may ever experience. Due to their organization, empathy, services provided and just plain well run organization, these trying times can be managed and coped with, with grace, courage and compassion. If I had all the money in the World I could never repay them for their tireless efforts, preparedness, true concern, professionalism and just being there. I hear people in passing comment on their great experiences with Hospice, but when the life altering event has come to an end, it appears that they forget who sat and talked to them night after night or perhaps it is too painful to want to remember. I want to go on record as being forever grateful to the staff and volunteers of Hospice. And now I feel it is my time to pay it forward. They are always in need of volunteers, to do any variety of things to help others and their families face and conquer trying and final days with loved ones. Anything and everything that can be done to assist them in continuing to do a service, that is like no other, should be done. Trust me when I say, I hope you never need their services, but if you do, be calmer in knowing you have an agency at your side 24/7 that has the experience, wisdom and resources to help you during this most difficult and confusing time. This organization is 5* all the way and in every aspect of life and death that they address. We are all certainly better off knowing there is a service such as this available, if we should unfortunately have the need for them. Did you know they do a summer camp for any child of certain ages? They bring in pets to brighten ones day? Daily they call frail individuals who are alone, because the individual is fearful they will pass and won't be found, for a period of time? They honor our veterans with a simple ceremony and pin a flag on them, just to thank them for their service? Did you know 1 in 4 deaths is a Veteran? These are one of the topics we as a society usually don't discuss, but we all face more times than we would ever dream of in reality...it is part of life. What's a girl to do? This organization utterly failed in every capacity and caused my mother and me immense emotional trauma. From the moment we enrolled in hospice care, we were led to believe LifePath would provide support, guidance, and compassion. Instead, we received only one visit, and only after we called and specifically requested assistance. There was no sustained follow-up, no meaningful contact, and no presence when it mattered most. After intake, we were told someone would visit the next day. I informed hospital staff to contact me if anyone from hospice arrived. No one ever did. I only realized in the chaos of the day, around 7 p.m., that we had been completely abandoned. When a nurse from LifePath finally arrived the next afternoon--after we had to ask for someone to come--it was far too late. My father was already declining rapidly. Over the next three days, as my father actively died, not a single person from LifePath Hospice contacted or visited us again. The only outreach we received was a generic voicemail offering "counseling," which felt like a cruel joke after everything we had endured alone. To add further insult, we later received a survey request--as if our opinion mattered to a company that ignored us in our most desperate hour. We had already emailed our frustrations, yet we were still contacted again. This level of tone-deafness and lack of empathy is disgraceful. This experience was traumatic and completely contrary to the mission LifePath claims to uphold. They failed my dying father. They failed our grieving family. Their absence forced us to lean entirely on hospital nurses, who were not affiliated with the hospice and should never have had to shoulder that burden. We are demanding: A formal acknowledgment of this complaint; A detailed explanation of why this happened; A clear outline of corrective steps to ensure no other family is subjected to this level of negligence and abandonment; Immediate and permanent removal of all contact information from their records. We have asked multiple times and continue to receive unwanted outreach. This organization is not fit to call itself a provider of compassionate end-of-life care. What they did--or more accurately, failed to do--was inhumane.

They are flexible to handle all kinds of needs. Even taking my parents out each morning to see their regular friends that meet up at local Dunkin Donuts every morning. It was the highlight of their day! I am so impressed with their professionalism and compassion. I will recommend them to anyone. I was fortunate enough to have 2 girls that were the BEST! They treated Mom and Dad as if they were their own parents. If you need a home companion/caregiver, these are the people to call.
