We came here to volunteer. There are two different buildings, one for groceries and the other for…read moreclothing. We met a nice volunteer who guided us to the volunteer check in center. It was a first time for my daughter and I but they were very nice with giving us a brief tour about both facilities, how they worked, when they expected deliveries, and how people were able come in via appointment or walk in to get clothing (point system) and groceries. Everyone was so nice. It was a great first experience for my daughter for her volunteer service so we definitely would come back to do the grocery side.

Community Food Share is one of Boulder's oldest food support non profits still in existence, dating…read moreback to 1981 or so. I have donated, I have had a neighbor who drove the collection truck to groceries and eateries and shops such as Starbucks back in the 90s for excess food to take to their ever growing food bank serving Boulder County. My son did volunteer work there in the late 90s, sorting produce from local groceries so that the best was offered to needy families. The staff he worked with were phenomenal and generous with their time training volunteers. I have contributed to their regular collection drives. This is the time of year that they run their Let's Bag Hunger campaign. You can donate bags of groceries at many grocery stores and they can always use direct money donations too. With Yelp being so food centric, I'd like to see us consider this option. I know I will and hope you do too. Please check their website for specific options.

Later, I wrote a message of some concerns. They met with me after service to discuss my concerns. I don't remember the details now but, the fact that they did so overall without opposition was impressive. They overall are very down to earth, and amiable. My critique is that they should use/exercise their God-given authority of Jesus' name, and from what I saw/heard in service and heard from someone on the worship at the time, the worship team needed attention, and shouldn't advertise "Free Counseling" on their website if they're not actually going to conduct Counseling sessions. Overall, the motives of the pastor and his wife and the people here were good. They embraced as the Body of Christ should.
