It was a first time for my daughter and I but they were very nice with giving us a brief tour about both facilities, how they worked, when they expected deliveries, and how people were able come in via appointment or walk in to get clothing (point system) and groceries. Everyone was so nice. It was a great first experience for my daughter for her volunteer service so we definitely would come back to do the grocery side.

I was running out of money and had no insurance. A friend told me about JFS. I eventually hit the wall, paralyzed with fear, and I submitted the online form. Just talking with the intake coordinator relieved some of the anxiety I hadn't been able to shake. A counselor had an opening in about 10 days. Thank God for my counselor! I've been going for about six months, and my outlook, energy, direction, purpose, and happiness have returned, along with new approaches to view situations and people and different ways to handle what previously had paralyzed me with guilt and fear. I feel like I got picked up out of the busy roadway of life, dusted off, assured of my actions and responses, kissed on the top of my head, and sent out to play again. What I really learned is to stop worrying about things and other people and that there are ALWAYS solutions. Taking the steps to be a patient here was one of the best things I've ever done for myself. Wonderful. Unbelievable. Affordable. Love you guys!

Later, I wrote a message of some concerns. They met with me after service to discuss my concerns. I don't remember the details now but, the fact that they did so overall without opposition was impressive. They overall are very down to earth, and amiable. My critique is that they should use/exercise their God-given authority of Jesus' name, and from what I saw/heard in service and heard from someone on the worship at the time, the worship team needed attention, and shouldn't advertise "Free Counseling" on their website if they're not actually going to conduct Counseling sessions. Overall, the motives of the pastor and his wife and the people here were good. They embraced as the Body of Christ should.

Also, if you have a large family, they don't give extra food. At all. I've been to other food banks and have had good experiences at them, this place however has left an awful taste in my mouth.
