Searched through Yelp for someone who offered simple genuine massage (I don't want crystal worship or a "soul cleanse" etc.), forthcoming with pricing (TamiRae's website clearly displays very reasonable pricing and even better seasonal specials), and of course the awesome Yelp reviews were a bonus! TamiRae has the perfect balance of professionalism and warmth. The studio was immaculately clean, comfortable and relaxing. The oils and treatments she used were effective and smelled lovely. Her touch proved she's a natural at massage, but since I was a new client she checked in with me to make sure my experience was great. I also appreciated that before the massage/warm stones/foot treatment/spa facial she walked me through what would happen, including when/why she would need to briefly leave the room. (I've had a massage therapist step out for 5 mins, and it was obvious by the smell upon return it was a smoke break - no lie lol!) I very much enjoyed TamiRae the person so much, that I had to make myself stop talking during the massage so I could sink into it even more. After living here now for 1.5 yrs, I'm delighted to have found my massage person and also to have made a wonderful friend!

I made a surprise massage booking for my wife and I 60% through our weeklong "explore Yosemite"…read moretrip. One hour for me and 90 minutes for my wife. Trinity is the owner and therapist at BroghtFire and she was so kind, knowledgeable, and talented. My wife and I came in a wreck from both our computer facing jobs and our many miles in Yosemite and Trinity helped us realign and restore. She was very generous with her time and had an amazing energy. I highly recommend booking a massage if you are staying anywhere near Groveland, Ca. Thanks Trinity!! Oh yeah her space is amazing. My wife liked the space so much that she stayed there to read her book vs going to a coffee shop. That is saying a lot about how inviting the space is.

I worked in the industry: Before retirement I oversaw one of the world's largest ( 200 room 5 Star…read morefacilities in Asia). I know the importance of "hands': Before hiring I trade tested prospective employees. I did hundreds of individuals) over the course of my career. And I graded each persons performance in area of technique, touch, product knowledge, speciality, and customer service. Trinity is a younger energetic sweet woman, her SPA is lovely, and her ability to engage and welcome her clients is exceptional. One can tell she likes what she does: she likes welcoming new clients. She shows professionalism from the first minute the client enters the door. As expected she asked standard inquiry questions ( plus had given me an inquiry form) to determine what types of massage styles I knew or liked, what my preference was for hand strength, etc. And she informed me that she uses a foot massage method and got permission first ( before starting the massage) to use her feet as well as her hands. She also stated that I could choose to wear any clothing I was comfortable in, or no clothing at all. The day I had the massage was only two weeks after my mother's passing. I knew I would be hyper sensitive, so I asked her to use only a medium level of strength and warned her that I might break down into tears. Emotions can raise when massages are given. She was accommodating and sensitive through my whole experience. One observation I have had since returning stateside and having other masseurs work over me, is that most are not draping the way 5-star facilities expect of their masseurs. Trinity drapes properly and attends to giving privacy knowing many people are hesitant to show their body. Trinity was SEEMLESS in the way she draped. She also seamlessly slipped stones onto my body and into my hands. There was a simple rhythm to her approach. I so very much appreciated this perfect approach. Also , she tuned into me, knowing I needed silence vs chatter remembering I was grieving, and she read my needs. Others may want to chat during their massage ( that's personal preference), but should you be someone who needs silence she will understand and follow your cue. She is in the earlier stage of her career and is aware that there are many different massage techniques. She knows she can integrate the different techniques and that clients may expect her to know everything. To the reader I state: tell her what you need. And she will do her best, as she did for me. But understand too, she is gaining new knowledge taking more courses so she can become better with age. The only suggestions I had for her were business related. And I passed some knowledge onto her. What I liked was that she was open to listening. I would have graded her an "A- "..... She is the gave me the best massage I have had since leaving the industry during COVID. I left refreshed and at peace. That's the best anyone can ever expect after being given a massage. I live not far from her business ( 1.5 hours), and I will drive out of the way to return just to have Trinity's services. She now has my repeat business. I highly recommend her.

I've had issues resulting from frozen shoulder for years. Tension from flare- ups require massage…read moreand I am very choosy about who touches me. I was referred to Pam by a friend who raved about her - and she wasn't wrong. It was obvious she knew her stuff and then some. I felt very lucky to have found her, and I will be back! My visit with her was last year during Covid. I arrived wearing my mask and though I saw another person post about this, there was zero issue with me keeping my mask on throughout the session.

Let me start by saying I have had a lot of massages. It is my go-to to "treat myself" to the point…read morewhere I treat myself on nearly a bi-monthly basis during non-COVID times. Most massages I have gotten in SF, but also when I travel (NYC, LA, Peru, Mexico, pretty much every major city)-so I have had a variety of styles and experiences, while some varying, only one or two of them have actually been bad. This experience was more strange than anything. I was gifted two gift certificates for Pam as presents from my family. I received the first massage over summer 2020 and the second massage in January 2021. The first was an OK experience, and a solid massage. The second experience was pretty mediocre, the massage still solid while not being memorable. It's clear Pam is knowledgeable about the body and enjoys talking and imparting her knowledge on her client, which is appreciated if desired but most massage therapists will "read the room" and if the client is just there to relax (i.e. not speaking, starting conversation or giving short answers) then keep the talking to a minimum-she talked for nearly the entire massage only breaking near the end. She asked if she could release my hip which I agreed, but it involved near 15 minute of extremely deep pressure in one spot--I would've preferred some sort of check in or warning that it would take up that much time, because I came to relax and had already asked her to focus on my neck and shoulders--no issues with my hip. The part that made the experience strange was when I showed up wearing a mask and she insisted I "throw it away" and immediately asked where I was from and proceeded to say that "You city people are programmed to wear masks, but I don't have COVID and you don't have COVID so you don't need to wear one." I'm not sure how she knew I didn't have COVID given I just walked in the door, but her persistence (not once but three times) that I remove my mask was off putting, as if she was going to convince me out of it. I didn't remove it and she appeared flustered by that. Lastly, she overcharged me. I had a giftcard that included an hour massage and a $10 add on for deep tissue (there was no difference from the deep tissue vs regular massage i received 6 months prior). I added on an extra 30 min, for which I paid out of pocket. The price seemed pretty high given the one hour price but I verified the cost of a $90 min vs $60 min with her just to be clear and she confirmed. As I walked home I looked at her website and the price was $20 less than what i had paid. I called her back and asked her about the discrepancy, she said she must've done her math wrong and told her to come back for my $20. I'm appreciative she recognized her mistake but it seemed suspicious given all her treatments are the same price so she shouldn't have to do math on the fly.
