I have been undergoing PT and Chiropractic care in an attempt to avoid back surgery (Fusion) I had great success with Michelle and her skills in previous appointments for other issues. Before I started coming here I had horrible digestive issues and severe, constant abdominal pain that basically controlled my life for years. I've been seeing Michelle for a year specifically for my hypothyroid issue. I recently went to the doctor to get tested and was curious if in fact acupuncture could fix my thyroid problem. It did...I no longer have hypothyroid! A year ago they wanted me on medication that I'd have to take for the rest of my life. That's not an option for me, so I did research and found acupuncture at the bottom of almost every page. My doctor was happy w/ my results and glad I took the medication she prescribed. Acupuncture has always been something I wanted to try - for the experience. I was fortunate to have de-stress, immune enhancement, energy, and hormone balance done by Michelle, for the first time, 3 weeks ago. It was the most amazing experience. Having multiple needles poking me wasn't something I was necessarily comfortable with, but Michelle's voice is so calming that it put me at ease. Oh, and the needles don't hurt a bit. Let me just start off by saying that, for all you skeptics, or people afraid of needles...GET OVER IT!!! Acupuncture works people. I am an avid rock climber, I find myself at the gym 4-5 times a week. Climbing is a high impact sport with a ton of injury possibilities. I began experiencing shoulder pain about 8 weeks ago. It was horrible. I would wake up in the morning wanting to cry, and the worst part was...no climbing. No yoga, no pull-ups, no NOTHING. Everything hurt me. I decided acupuncture could be worth a shot. My first visit with Michelle and I knew that I had come to the right place. Came to see Michelle after dealing with pain for over a year in my lower back and hip due to a work injury. After many many disappoints with the workers comp system, my expectations were not very high for any approved practitioners in the network but THANK GOD for MICHELLE! Immediately her presence and energy was so uplifting and welcoming, she thoroughly listened to what I had to say what was bothering me if anything was uncomfortable. I never dreaded our appts, they were peaceful and worked. In fact, my dr failed to request more sessions (AFTER I told him my pain had been reduced significantly) and sure enough with continued PT the pain came back, but not at the same level it had been. For approximately 3 months in early 2017, I had persistent headaches. These headaches were dull (3 to 5 out of 10) and would persist from the time I would wake up to the time I went to sleep. I went to my primary care physician, saw multiple internal medicine physicians, and a neurologist, and they all said my headaches would probably go away. 3 months later, the headaches remained present. Through various tests, the medical doctors could not find anything wrong. The only recommendation they made to me was to take medication to mask the symptoms which I did not want to do. My wife recommended acupuncture and I found Michelle through my health insurance. I had never experienced acupuncture before and did not know what to expect. I called Michelle and she answered all of my questions. At my initial visit, Michelle was confident I would get better and said I would notice improvement after 6 to 8 sessions. After the 6th session my headaches were less noticeable and after 12 sessions I was myself again. I was really concerned that these headaches would never go away and I would have to live with the discomfort. Thanks to Michelle, I was able to recover and live normally again. One year later, I continue to visit Michelle for maintenance and for other random pains that appear; the most recent being neck pain which she fixed. In addition to being an excellent practitioner of acupuncture, Michelle has always been honest, genuine, positive, and very pleasant. If you have never tried acupuncture before, this is the place to start. I was a bit skeptical at first but on my first experience I became a true believer. I suffer from a torn meniscus and was taking OTC motrin and other pain relievers for approx two months without much relief. I was taking a trip two Brazil and had three weeks left for my knee to heal. I decided to try acupuncture as a last effort, and it worked. I was able to take my trip without any problems. I am an emergency room nurse, and have only know western medicine. I have seen many doctors and surgeons who told me that surgery was the only answer. I limped around for two months and after my first session swelling went down. Im not saying that my meniscus healed, but what I experienced was definitely not a placebo effect. The swelling of my knee was 30-40 percent lower two days after my first session and I was able to walk better. After my second session I was able to walk without difficulty or pain. Something that I was not able to achieve for two months with over the counter medication. Michelle is wonderful! She is knowledgeable and explains every procedure. I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism almost two years after my first baby was born, and although I had never tried acupuncture before I want to tried other alternatives before taking all the medications that I was given by my physician. Michell was great from the first appointment, she explained me the whole process, was/is very detailed, she is very sweet and kind, and honestly she was able to explain better what was going on with my body than my actual physician and I understand why my body was acting up after given birth and how my thyroid problem was linked the fact that I had given birth. I have seen great results just from receiving acupuncture and to this point that's all I've been doing.
