I really like their pizza, their crust is the perfect thickness - not too thick and not too thin. They also add tons of cheese and just the right amount of toppings! Their donairs and poutine are also really good. To top it off the service is great, and everyone that works here treats you as if you are an old friend. And did I mention the prices are really reasonable? Downtown Dartmouth in my opinion is kind of meh in terms of take out food options (especially now that the canteens take out hours are weird/minimal..) so I'm glad to have The Hungry Hut as an option!

We all ordered donairs, of course. I got a large. Only do that if you came reeeeaally hungry. It's massive. Like, really massive. I think this donair restored my faith in humanity for providing reasonably priced, filling, delicious meals. Or it just spoke to the carnivous Texan soul. It's the first and only donair I've had but really set a bar for any I will have in the future! Seriously stuffed with meat, messy to eat, and packed with sweet and spice and flavor. I couldn't eat one every day (unlike a gyro, there are very little veggies here) but it was a great meal and one that I'll remember more than some others I've paid 2-3x as much for. I also tried someone's poutine and found it reasonable, but I've only had a few and they're kind of similar. This one was hot with some nice and rich gravy. Would definitely recommend a try!

Portions were satisfying and everything tasted like it was made with care. The service was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. One thing that really stands out is the decor--it feels like it hasn't changed since they first opened, and that gives the place a unique, nostalgic charm you don't see often anymore. It adds to the overall experience and makes it feel like a true local staple.

I shouldn't have to pay extra to get a satisfactory amount of sauce on the donair, there should be enough, and then if I want a obtuse amount I should have to pay more, you're right.

Ordered the super donair and was actually contemplating the belly buster that I know I ordered one back in the day. The super was huge glad I restrained myself. I was under the impression that they put sauce on the panzerotti, so in the comment section on Uber Eats, I asked for lots of sauce. They charged me for an extra cup of sauce. Ok, no biggie. The panzerotti was huge, however the meat lacked that spice that you expect from donair meat. It was all heat from the cayenne pepper, but no hint of oregano or onion or garlic. I didn't taste any onions or tomatoes until the next day when I made my second attempt of eating this massive panzerotti(The donair sauce is phenomenal! ) It literally took me 3 days to finish it. When I say huge, I mean huge. Oddly enough, the flavor got better over time. I will order from Robert's again. I will try their pizza next time. Better placement of the veggies, spread them out. Don't just throw them in the middle and maybe not up-charge for extra sauce.

It was their recommendation anyway, they heard it was the best pizza someone else has ever had. I thought that sounded like a stretch considering it was explained to me as a Subway for pizza. But, you know what, it wasn't bad! It was indeed probably better than most! I had the Margherita Pizza and Garlic Fingers. The pizza tasted incredibly fresh! For some reason they put sea salt on it though. I didn't taste it until the third piece (they're small pieces okay!) and am not a big fan of salt, but it didn't ruin it for me. The Garlic Fingers were SO GOOD. Arguably the best in the city, not a stretch! The crust - perfect, the garlicy-ness - perfect, the cheese - perfect! Absolutely no complaints and would 100% get them again, and again. When I'm not sick I'll go back, I'm interested in 'building my own!'
