There is outside seating and the window tables offer a view of the Clock Tower, Skegness's only real architectural attraction. I tried the seafood platter for UK 16.99, which includes a larger piece of salmon (in plum sauce), three large battered squid rings, a shrimp skewer, garden peas and fries (I got curly fries at no extra charge). There is a not a single really good pub in this place, and - on paper - The Red Lion, which you'll find diagonally across from the train station, should be your best option. And it normally is: It's a Spoon, and the Spoons are normally considered a solid option for real-ale lovers. Not in this case. The pint I had had gone bad, oxidized. That really shouldn't happen: Obviously, the cask had been kept for too long (normally, a cask has to be finished within 3 days, or else you'll run a risk that the beer goes bad). Bummer!
