At last I have found a GP practice with friendly and accommodating staff. This practice came recommended from a friend of mine and I couldn't recommend it enough. We have seen three GPs thus far and they have all been lovely but the particular GP we book in with is Lesley Blimkie as she is thorough, has a kooky and great sense of humor, excellent clinical judgement and is fantastic and patient with kids. All the qualities I was looking for in my search for a GP when we moved down south. This is why I give this practice 5 stars :) The admin staff are always pleasant and helpful and you are always greeted with a smile. Such a change from the previous practice I attended closer to the CBD. I always love service with a smile, and who doesn't really?! Plus they bulk bill for all children under 10. There is also a dietician and a practice nurse and a plethora of services offered so please refer to their website as there is too many to list. While you wait, peruse through the diverse range of up-to-date magazines while listening to the calming instrumental music playing in the background. Great children's play area with a great selection of toys and it is always clean. There is room to park your prams or wheelchairs too. Ample parking on site. In the busy months, some of the GPs at Wellbeing McLaren sometimes close their books for new patients, so if you are in search of a GP and live up this way, book in with them now so you can get in as a new patient. This is by far one of the best GP clinics I have been to because the staff are friendly and it is evident that they take pride in their practice as it always looks clean and well presented. read more

I went back to this medical centre after remarkably receiving poor service from the other 2 in the area. I made an appointment but had to wait over 10 days to see a doctor. I had slept through the appointment when the time came to see the doctor. Despite knowing that I'm on a pension card this centre refused to let me see a doctor until I paid a cancellation fee. I couldn't afford to pay the fee and needed to see a doctor because I had a long-term infection.

Later, I went to the ED in Noarlunga Hospital instead and they found out there was nothing to worry about as it was just a benign cyst which could be healed in time, and they took an x-ray to make sure there was no ear ring bits in there, unlike Dr Alam who didn't do a good job! Dr Alam was trying to get more money out of me by saying I needed to have the surgery done with one of their doctors in the clinic when there was no need to!
