OK. I will preface this by saying any restaurant can have an off-day but Well-Fed clearly had one of them as far as the food was concerned when my wife and I came in for a late breakfast in mid-December of 23. I had a couple of eggs over-lite which were fine. A couple of slices of toasted sourdough bread - again fine. A side of hash browns - sparse portions, over-done, and dried out like they had been sitting out under a warmer for hours. A side of scrapple - an abomination. Honestly I've never had a bad side of scrapple at any restaurant until I went to Well Fed. The scrapple was obviously frozen and thawed because the strongest flavor to come through was the flavor of freezer burn - just a disgrace. My wife had cream-chipped beef. Again awful. It tasted old and sour...like it had been rewarmed perhaps multiple times. While we were there, one of our sons called and asked us to pick up an order of chicken and waffles to go. He's had this dish before and remarked how good it was. Well not this time. We brought it home for him and when he opened it up he noticed how overdone the chicken was. I mean WAY overdone. We're talking very dark brown and dry. Again like it was recooked. He was very hungry so he ate most of it but said it is normally very good but was "terrible" this time. Also extremely salty. Honestly if I was rating the food alone I would have given one star. The only thing that saved it was the service was very good, prompt, and friendly. Visited on a Saturday around 10:30 AM. Didn't wait and the staff was very quick and courteous. I got the sausage gravy and it was great! Also had the grilled banana bread which was delicious. The service was super quick and the food arrived very quickly. read more

We stopped in at lunch time with two antsy toddlers who had just tolerated a morning of Christmas pictures. The staff greeted us promptly, and were quick to get us seated, high chairs and all, and our order placed. The food was delicious, and portion sizes excellent. We even went home with some left overs. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice and laid back. We were even able to meet the owner who took great care of us on our visit here. Our family really enjoyed our lunch and now we will be sure to make Well Fed a part of our Cool Yule picture tradition! read more

Went there for a Father's Day breakfast, outstanding little gem in Skippack. Very open seating, they could use a few more bigger tables, sitting five was a little tight. All five meals were delicious, French toast was light and fluffy, thick cut wonderful flavored bacon, excellent chocolate chip pancakes, the Hawaiian waffle with fresh strawberries and pineapple and the coconut cream sauce was a sweet treat for my wife, I had the flaming pig omelette which was spicy and delicious and the home fries were outstanding. We loved our food. Good simple food that was prepared very well. My eggs were cooked perfectly without being burned or runny. The hash browns were plain potatoes spiced well and not full of other stuff. My sons chicken sandwich was great. Not overspiced or brined in some weird concoction. Just juicy plain chicken. My daughter loved her pancakes. They're a little thin but quite tasty. By being thinner they almost had a crepe quality to them while still being pancakes. Our server Odie (spelling?) was wonderful. He checked in without being bothersome and was on top of drinks and dishes when we needed them. The biggest frustration that kept this from being a five star review was how noisy the environment was. It's very open and echos a lot. So noise from the kitchen and just ambient noise is loud. Will definitely return. read more

We called ahead of time for a party of 6, the man on the phone told us he would write our name down and save us a table since we are a larger party, as they do not usually take reservations. Upon arrival we were told that they "do not take reservations" and that we'd have to wait. Poor communication. Poor service. read more

Let me begin by saying the food was good. I had the Flaming Pig Omelet and my hubby had French Toast with Sausage. The meal was pricey considering it's a luncheonette style place. I forget the name of the place before Well Fed, it is now under new management. Our wait time is where this is going. We waited about 15 minutes for a table, they were getting slammed. Then we ordered and waited almost an hour for our food. Luckily, it was good. When we got there I was really hungry, but by the time the food came, not so much. After we ate and decided to go, we waited about 15 minutes for the check. Apparently, one person has to total the checks, not the waitress! I hope the new management team knows that table turns is where you make your money. From what I saw, their turn rate has got to be low. It's a shame, because the food was good, but the overall wait time WAAAAAY to long. read more

This place has the best western omelette I've EVER had!!!! This is my first visit but it won't be my last. I'm not eating potatoes this month but I looked across the table and saw the PERFECT HOME FRIES!!! So I sampled them..... DELICIOUS!!!! I'm not a local but this place deserves a road trip from me. Nice looking place, and I had high hopes. I ordered the Italian Hoagie which purportedly would contain cappicola, prosciutto, and salami. What I got was a very meager amount of ham and salami. Tried this for the first time last Sunday. Waited 10 minutes to be seated while three empty tables were available. Waited another 15 minutes to get coffee, 15 minutes for our orders taken; the food was good. Caulked this up to poor staffing. Took the family there Friday for lunch. Better service. My daughter also inquired about a wait staff position. She gave the cashier her number only to be called by the owner reprimanding her about "expecting and demanding a job". I was right there during the entire exchange and don't recall any such conversation about demands. I'm puzzled by such a call. I finally tried this place! I went here for lunch today with my family. I have to say that I really loved the decor of the restaurant. I started off with the French onion soup. It was very good. I got the patty melt for my main course. It was cooked just to my liking and the bread was delicious. The homemade slaw was the best coleslaw I have ever had. Stopped by on a Saturday for brunch with family and was surprised to learn that they don't turn on any of the friers on the weekend. That meant no fries with sandwiches, no homefries​ with your eggs and toast, etc. Seemed to defeat the purpose of coming for brunch. However, the salad I had was good, and the ingredients were fresh. We decided to give this new restaurant a try today for lunch. We ate here once outside when it was Mal's American Diner. Today we ate inside at about 1:15pm, after the lunch crowd. We were provided with two menus, breakfast (which they serve all day) and lunch. I chose the Monte Cristo sandwich and my wife had the chicken cobb salad. Both were good, met expectations. We also ordered the onion rings to share. That was a good choice, theonion rings were great. I seldom order a Monte Cristo but this one was good. The only disappointment was that the sandwich was served with chips. Unfortunately, this was a bag of Herr's, I would have like some kettle chips, or at least not chips in a bag. The salad was very good and more than my wife could eat in a single setting. The prices, I thought were very good with a good selection of dishes. I had to remember this was a diner, not a fine restaurant. If you want some diner food in Skippack, this is the place. I can see going back. read more

This is our go to breakfast spot! The food is fantastic. Simple, but done well. The only downside is it can be loud if crowded. The menu isn't big, but surpringly offers a lot of options. I have been to this restaurant now twice and I can't wait to go again! The wait time was long on our first visit but it was opening weekend so thought we'd give it another try. Went the following weekend and the wait was much better and the food was even better! I know it's a brand new restaurant so it takes time to make things right but I'd go back again for sure - food is awesome! Love that the menu has mostly homemade items and a lot of healthy options too! Avocado toast with eggs was so good! Also had the homemade blueberry muffin which was delicious! We had an awesome Sunday breakfast here! The food was fresh and well priced - think diner pricing with MUCH better quality. The grilled Banana Bread is a must.. and it's nut-free which is rare to come by when eating out of the home. Bonus points for them from this tree nut allergy sufferer. The service was great too, everyone was very warm and inviting - the owner (or I assume to be the owner) was helping out himself and circling around smiling at everyone including my two kiddos! My husband and I had breakfast here this morning. It took 10 minutes to seat us even though there were plenty of open tables. The food is, in our opinion, overpriced. We got coffee, chocolate milk, banana bread, 2 omelettes for $35 including tip. We could have gotten the same thing at the Franconia Cafe for about 45% less. It was incredibly noisy as it's hardwood floors and no rugs to help absorb the noise. Our food was just okay; nothing to write home about. Our waiter, Steve, was the exception as he was funny and just genuinely pleasant. I'm not sure we would come back anytime soon. read more

I was here once when it first opened. The service was poor and the wait long but I hoped once they had a chance, it would improve. Came back on a Friday morning and it wasn't busy at all. The service was still poor. We waited to order our coffee and asked to put in our breakfast order right away since we had young children. Part of our order was for a bowl of fruit to keep the kids occupied. After waiting a long time we asked the server if he could bring out the fruit as they were getting restless. Was here for the first time. I heard great things about it. Decor was nice, odd that there is a big wide open space when you walk in the door...it's a bit awkward. Staff is super nice. The server took a bit too long to take our order...the place was not crowded. It took 45 minutes for us to get our food--we ordered 2 BLT and a burger. Food was good, but I wouldn't rave about it. A brand new addition to the quaint village of Skippack. This beautifully designed, cozy neo-diner is a great addition to the area. Our family of four came on a Sunday morning around noon. We waited about 5 minutes before being seated. Our cheery, very knowledgeable server gave us some great suggestions. I went with Avocado Toast with eggs on top. I added Feta Cheese, well, because I always do. The dish was fantastic! So simple, yet so perfect. The seasoning made it very memorable, and something I will definitely return for. My daughter had french toast, which she and I would rank up there with the best. My wife had the Keto plate, which had avocado, eggs, and bacon. It was great that they had these choices for modern diets. My son is allergic to milk and eggs (I know, its tough!), but they did a great job accommodating him. Overall, fresh, well prepared food, that was perfect for a crisp fall early afternoon. read more
