When I bought my first house with my husband back in 2011, we switched to a multi-policy for Home and (3 vehicle) Auto Insurance. When we became out-of-state landlords in 2013, she helped us through the tiny changes required when switching to a dwelling-only policy. And for the one car accident we were involved with years ago, she also counseled us through this hellish process too! Through it all... seamless transactions, thorough documentation, and the utmost willingness to educate me along the way. And may I even be unprofessional here and say prompt AF!? I thought I was fast!! But here's the thing, Dana's service didn't stop with my Missouri policies. While she couldn't insure my Renter's Insurance policies in the other states I've lived, she absolutely still held my hand when I ran into issues with other insurance agencies in CO, NY, and CA. Sometimes all it takes to solve a problem is a bit of guided expertise! And for 8+ years while living on the road, that's what she did! So you better believe when we made the abrupt decision to move home to Lake Saint Louis, Dana was our first call to discuss our new Home Insurance policy. And even after we closed, we had to make a quick change to expand coverage into an Auto policy within our first week, and what a breeze!! I just can't say enough!

I got a fair rate (as I shop) with a reputable insurance company, and an agent that understood my needs because they listened. He was both Informed and was invested in making the frustrating and sometimes challenging work of changing insurance companies seem easy. But his office does not stop at car insurance. A few months into the start of my career we discussed financial planning. My husband and I met with Dane after our wedding to sort out car and homeowners insurance for married couples. Mary goes above and beyond what a broker "has" to do. When your rates go up, she calls you. When your rates go down, she also calls to say "congrats!". She'll give you her cell number to call after-hours if you have questions. And once when I didn't get my updated insurance info in the mail, she made sure I had all of the necessary via email, just in case I needed it. The AAA rates are pretty reasonable, too. Back when I lived in Brentwood Forest, she even bundled my roommate's and my renter's insurance as well as our auto insurance so it was even cheaper. When I moved back to the City, Mary tried her best to get me a good rate, even if car insurance rates in the City of St. Louis are ungodly expensive. If you aren't sure who to get your auto or renter's insurance through and want to work with a local agent, definitely give Mary a call.

I have been using Russ Siebert for a number of years along with most members of my family. Their…read moreservice has always been just ok, nothing spectacular, but nothing to remind me to shop around until recently. Last week I couldn't find my car insurance card and called to ask for a copy to be sent to me. At that time I was informed that our entire insurance policy had lapsed: cars, home, RV, jewelry, umbrella. They informed me they left a message for us the night before, which was after the policies lapsed. I was shocked, it turns out our mortgage company had a computer glitch of some kind and the payment was stuck and never sent. When I asked how did we not know about this before it lapsed? Russ Siebert's employee Lisa informed us: "that they do not monitor billing, 'they did nothing wrong' and it isn't their responsibility." We had to pay $3800 on the spot to reinstate our insurance and then try and figure out what happened, again Russ Siebert in no way provided assistance or even an apology that this was happening. It was some of the worst customer service I have ever received and Lisa informed me she had been there 30 years. After making numerous phone calls on my end it turns out Secura who holds the insurance sent at least one letter a month ago to Russ Siebert's office letting them know the payment hadn't been received and that the insurance would lapse if they didn't receive payment. Again, Russ Siebert is not even acknowledging they could have been aware of this. While I understand the mortgage company is at fault as well, Russ Siebert was in the position to alert their customer. What if my house had burned down or one of my kids had gotten into a car accident? We had no idea we had no insurance coverage until WE called. They left one message the night before - they should have done everything in their power to make sure we got the message. They are completely negligent and I am already working to get family members out from underneath their services as well.

I have complicated insurance needs - from properties to umbrella to earthquake and once you factor in my parents, sisters... its a mess. We worked with a local Farmers Insurance office for years. However, they were too understaffed to give us the attention we needed. I always felt like a burden with them - and yes I can admit I am a high maintenance client. Luckily I was introduced to Powers by my financial advisor at FITAdvisors. JD, Stacy & Sam worked countless hours to FIRST learn about my financial picture, our complicated family needs & create a spreadsheet of our current insurance policies. They then added to this spreadsheet recommended policies. In several policies their recommendation was to stay put with our current carrier! They were able to shop around to various insurance companies to give not only the the best price but the right amount of insurance. Over the past 2 years & 3 months, JD's & his team and I have exchanged 514 emails. Yup. No joke. These guys provide white glove service to ALL of my insurance needs. When my mother in law lost the diamond off her 51 year old diamond ring, they even assisted with reviewing her policy and advising her how to submit a claim on her homeowners insurance. AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN SELL HER THE POLICY! That's pretty incredible, right? If you love your fur-baby as much as I love my dog you understand how expensive pet vet bills are these days. Most recently, Stacy provided a side by side comparison of the Pet Insurance available on the market. We talked through each of the pros and cons before coming up with the best fit for us. And guess what - it wasn't even a plan SHE was going to sell me! This company again & again demonstrates how much they care for their clients over their bottom line. KUDOS TO POWERS INSURANCE! Highly recommend!
