My family and friends have visited here often over the years. Only 7 km from Trier, Germany's oldest city, and under 20 minutes to scenic Saarburg on the Saar River--both a 'must see'! There are amazing walks and views to discover. The restaurant and Landhaus are lovely and the chef is really superb! Try the Rieslings -- Artur the owner/vintner is a wealth of information and his wines are such a wonderful value (I always bring a case home). His charming wife runs the hotel side and speaks excellent English. They have several rooms that will accommodate multiple families or groups traveling together. read more

This cafe was full but we were seated immediately. Our server was friendly and efficient. Though my German is not great, the server was patient and we met in the middle as he spoke some English. The food was nicely prepared and presented, a part of the cafe was allocated to us, service was excellent, etc. The staff was very responsive and supportive when planning the event.
