I have been diagnosed with Hashimotos but my numbers aren't out of range yet. However, because I'm showing symptoms and truly suffering right now he agreed to start meds to see if they'd make me feel better. He also looked through labs that another doctor had drawn. He couldn't believe how high my inflammation markers were. He asked what was being done about them. While he agreed that the medication was the correct one he didn't agree with the dose. He stated that "he does not like stepping on other doctor's toes but that the patient comes first". Since I'm so miserable he wants to hit it hard and is increasing the dose. I can't tell you how grateful I am that I've found doctors who truly listen to me and appreciate that I'm well educated and knowledgeable about my issues. This includes the fact that he didn't push meds for diabetes on me until I was ready. I'd give this practice 5 stars if it weren't for the difficulty getting through to them via phone.
