However it is best avoided on a Friday or Saturday night as the place is crawling with students and drunks and there isn't a very nice atmopsphere. The staff are always friendly and chatty and they would often put stuff by for me if I asked. There is also a cash machine in this Co-Op but it is one of those ones that charge you for withdrawing so you're probably better off to pay card if you can.

There are often discounted offers available, and they also offer hot sausage rolls etc. They open early during the week (around 7am) and close at 10pm. On a Sunday they open 10-10. This means I don't often end up shopping in there although when i do I always have managed to get what I need, although they have sometimes sell out of the basics later in the day. Staff seem friendly and will always help me find something if i cant see it. Self service tills are a little annoying through when they don't work properly. Mine kept complaining there was an unexpected item in the bagging area!

It's actually not got a bad range of food/drink/household items, for such a tiny little metro branch, and also the prices aren't bad, rivalling all the nearby newsagents/little shops. The only issue is that people do tend to mill about during very busy times, and it can be frustrating if you just want to whiz in and out again. The self-service check-outs are useful in theory, but sometimes they crash or refuse to let you pay, etc- and often it can be a while before a member of staff comes to help you.
