However,…read moreonce it came time to write the document they just wrote a bunch of stuff that was not talked about which could have been entirely prevented if they'd reviewed the initial documents I'd sent or had a simple intake form. Instead there was lots of expensive rewrites. For example they contested the agreed upon sale price when I'd already sent the appraisal and of course was charged for this whole back and forth. I also felt like they were not forthcoming with steps of the process and forced me to keep checking with them at a minimum of $30 a pop. Them asking if I got the money and me saying yes cost $60. In total it cost at least 3X what was initially quoted. They also had an error where they without notice or invoice automatically charged me for their services plus $5,000 of fees that were to be split with another party. I really liked my first meeting but feel they are not very organized which ultimately filled their coffers.

The worst legal experience I've ever gone through. Avoid at all costs…read more Was required to work with Katy Sweden as she drafted our newly formed HOA. For context, I'm the first buyer into this HOA after Dimension Law helped to establish it only 10 months ago. Katy, after sandbagging us for weeks, refusing to honor our mandatory HOA Transfer Meeting, finally met with all of the new buyers to transfer it to us. From the beginning of the threads with the attorneys, I have flagged inaccuracies on descriptions of our property (vastly incorrect bedroom / bathroom count), but instead of correcting them, I've been getting pressured into accepting an amendment proposed by the seller, and will only get my descriptions updated should I accept a preposterous amendment which would take away our parking by redrawing the property map. I continue to refuse the amendment, but now it's unclear if we'll be receiving an accurate unit description. I've inquired about even paying for the amendment ourselves but haven't gotten any straight answer. Emails go unanswered, questions remain, problems persist.

Answer a few standard questions, chat about your impending death, and whammo! You've got yourself a legally binding will, power of attorney, health care advance directive, etc. Betsy also told us everything about death we wouldn't have even known to ask. Plus, she and her husband even come to *your* house for a signing party so you get the documents right away. It wasn't cheap, but check to see if your company has a legal plan (ours paid for almost everything!). But it was thorough, painless, and quick. Just like I hope that impending death of mine will be. (FYI: Betsy knows all the good ways to dispose of your body: cremation, burial at sea, composting, being turned into a tree ...)

Team lacks the ability to attend to details…read more We actually really enjoyed talking to Harkiran, She's great. However, her team lacks the ability to attend to details. First, when we got the draft back for our wills, the legal names were not matching across documents. Seems like a basic check for the paralegals. To Harkiran's credit, she asked for our feedback and we gave her that. It's nice when they do ask for feedback. Fast forward to the e-signing day. We had to have our documents amended and rescheduled and again, very grateful that they could accommodate for that. But we never received the final documents until I had to email them. I ended up receiving these documents from the notary (since they didn't respond until half hour before the actual signing). Again, probably not Harkiran's fault, but this is another indication that her team is not functioning well. I'd give the law firm 1 star because it's hard to trust a law firm that can't get the simple things right. The 2nd star is purely because Harkiran is a very nice person.

This business represents the gold standard in law firms practicing family law. I became a client…read moresome years back under difficult circumstances. Those challenges included limited financial means. But as everyone knows, the lack of finances does not mean we don't need excellent legal representation, and a wise ans savvy advocate who can and will out for the best interest of our families. Peter Mogren was that advocate for me. Together with his firm, they created a situation in which, after the necessary agreement has been reached, allowed me to continue to make payments that were affordable, despite the fact that I was on government assistance at the time. They are a self-identified Christian business, but in a season when all kinds of unethical discrimination and inhumane bigotry in business practices are disturbingly being defended under the banner of religion, practice stands out as empowering dignity of spirit for clients, as well as humanizing the approach to serving justice via the practice of law. I can attest their ethical business practices not only live up to their claim of faith but embody the truth of ethical values.

When you make an appointment they don't tell you if the consultation is free or how much it will cost. When you bring up a case or ask a simple question they can not provide the answer right away but having to call you back in a few days so they can do research about the matters.
