By far the best supermarket. So many options of fruits and veggies, baked goods, cheeses, and the fish market is always fresh with whatever your taste buds desire. The prepared foods section is also amazing. Whether your looking for lunch or bring home a quick and already made meal for dinner you will find it at Weggies! Also make sure to never walk past the sushi bar, they have some quality choices! And if you think I can't get better...it goes...their alcohol section is EXTENSIVE. I love this supermarker. One of my favorites! The aisles actually have room unlike Whole Foods where the aisles have no room to move around. They have their own ORGANIC section which is pretty kool. They have a big deli department, with different kinds of meats, from black peppered ham and turkey to different kinds of cheeses. If theres a line, just grab a number ticket and they should call your # within minutes. All the workers there are very nice. My favorite part especially is the hot food section which they have from Chinese, to pizzas, to the wings and soup section. Then, you can take it upstairs to eat where they have tables, plates, spoons and forks as well as napkins. They have bathrooms there too to wash your hands. I have a friend who works as a pharmacist there and she says its a great place to work. Their pharmacy department rivals all other pharmacist out there. read more

This is review is on Wegmans Chocolate Rasberry Ganache cake ONLY. I came across this cake while looking for a birthday cake at Wegman's. Ganache sounded fancy and who dosen't like chocolate? The taste is sweet, rich, and guilty. The texture is very soft, the rasberry has an element of tart but a complimentary to the sweet icing and chocolate. I'm not sure on the constant availability of this cake. After the first purchase, to take to a birthday party, the cake isn't always available. So if you have a sweet tooth, or you've been nominated to buy the cake for the party give this cake a try and let me know what you think. read more

I've never heard of this place at all and then I come to find out there's actually a blog about people loving wegmans?!?! Have I been living under a rock?!?! Being from Boston- shaws, stop and shop, and whole foods rule the supermarket world so wegmans is nonexistent (side note: until this year). But my family wanted to learn how to make sushi at home and I needed sushi grade fish. I found out that this place does supply fresh sushi grade salmon and tuna slice by pound for about $10-15 each at the sushi counter as well as tobbiko (~$3.99). They have everything available here to make it all and it's pretty affordable. It's a one stop shop. Ingredients that I have to get at specialty fish markets before, they have here! Although the employees are friendly, they take their job way too seriously. I was trying to find where the imitation crab meat is and asked where the frozen aisles are( cuz that's where it usually is) and he was seriously offended when I said the word frozen. "We don't have anything frozen here, it's all fresh or chilled." Umm okay.... read more

Just LOVE this grocery store! They offer EVERYTHING! Their food is so fresh and we LOVE their ready to eat meals! So convenient! We were staying in NJ for a soccer tournament and it was so easy to go grab some meals and take them back to our hotel room for the few days we were there. Our room had a fridge and microwave so it was easy to just warm things up. We also got breakfast items so we could just eat breakfast in our room and not have to hurry out or over spend at the hotel breakfast buffet (it wasn't a free one). We also get food there and just eat there quite often as well! read more

This store is huge and has very wide aisles.....the food is very nicely presented. My only complaint is that there is a LOT of prepared foods and the prices tend to be a bit high. So if you like to cook, good luck...most of the food preparation is already done. Took of a few stars because of the customer service at the bakery. I've noticed that the workers don't always answer the phones and someone I was standing by told me that it was very hard to get anyone to help you. read more

This sounds like a ridiculous statement but....the presence of this Wegmans near by actually pushed us into purchasing a house in this neighborhood. This supermarket is FANTASTIC - BEST seafood department I've ever seen in a supermarket: older gentleman who works there is great, will filet fish for you on request etc (I wanted to try lionfish and he did the filet bit to 4 fish for me). Produce department is great too - lots of unusual stuff. You DO need to keep an eye on price tags as sometimes that unusual stuff can get a little out of hand (they had some mandarin oranges called "sumos" that were originally selling for damn near 2 bucks an orange, for example). Liquor department is quite good, with the beer area standing out: it's run by a fellow beer snob and the guy knows what he is talking about. Check out the board with "back room beers" if you really want to try something new - but be aware, you need to ask them to get those beers for you - and they can also be a bit pricey (prices are on the board). Prepped foods area is very similar to a typical chinese buffet. Food is good, if unexceptional...but what do you expect, it's a supermarket! LOTS of registers means that even at it's busiest, you rarely have to wait terribly long to check out. Negatives? If you just need a gallon of milk, it'll still take 20 minutes because of the size of the place. On the weekends you really, REALLY don't want to shop here because, while the registers will move along quickly, the other shoppers will not. If you MUST shop on a weekend make sure you're done before 10AM, or kiss your family goodbye before you head out. read more

The customer service desk employees has gotten worst. With the exception of the Asian female employee, the rest of the women there don't know the meaning of "Customer Service". They don't greet you and they don't thank you. When they answer your question, they looked annoyed. They clearly don't want to work there. I've been coming here for 15+ years since it opened in 2000. I remember when this lot used to be just an empty lot. My family was so excited for this place to be built. Wegmans was named America's favorite supermarket. Take that Trader Joe's! My favorite things to get here are the Crispy Oatmeal and Cranberry cookies and Wegmans Almond Oats and Honey Cereal. The cereal is like Post Honey Bunches of Oats with Almonds but I actually like the Wegmans brand better. The fresh rolls are also delicious and soft. Get the rosemary and pretzel ones. The pretzel rolls are bomb here. While you're at it get a loaf of their cheese bread. I've only tried their hot foods section once, but it's quite popular during lunch time for the JnJ crowd. They have seating upstairs and bathrooms near the cash register. ShopRite probably carries more quantity and brands, but Wegmans feels more luxurious for some reason. It's like Whole Foods but much cheaper. Sometimes the fruit at ShopRite is actually better so we still shop at both places. At first, they built a closed off wine and liquor store, but now it's opened up and connected to the rest of the store. Other than that, it hasn't really changed that much over the years. read more

Today I witnessed how a supervisor was returning unwanted food from register back to the shelves. It was just past 10pm. Cashier asked if the product needs to be kept it a fridge. Supervisor replied - "No, but I will take care of it". She then threw it at another employee for fun. Of course it hit the floor to be later returned to its prime location. It was fruit formula that kids enjoy so much. I'm sure this happens all the time in a lot of stores, but I do not want to actually see it and think what happens behind the scenes. read more

My love for Wegman's has grown over time like a good marriage. Many have heard of the cult fave and rave reviews that Wegman's generates, and I'm going to share in that. When on road trips round the East Coast, they're my stops. When visiting family, I take them to Wegman's. When anywhere within 30mins of one, I get inordinately excited. It's a beautiful experience, the food bar is giant, the selection is huge, the dining in experience is restaurant grade, the produce is beautiful, the labeling is thorough & accurate, the organics are affordable, the prices are great, they accept Apple Pay/Android Pay/contactless/card/check/everything, their cleansiness is supreme in all depts, their selection is massive (flowers, household goods, stationery, Family/Club Size items, catering, you name it), their locations are so convenient, their bathrooms are clean and spacious (kids steps too!), layout is self-explanatory, their restaurants (yes! inside!) are better than most, and the employees are happy (that matters in everything). They've continuously redefined the supermarket since the 1970s & continue the innovating. read more

Wegmans is the food store that trumps all - it will bring out the domestic goddess in anyone. When I tell people I shop here, their reaction is either "omg you're so lucky" or "why would you shop there, it's so expensive." Anyone who knows any better has the former reaction. For those who have the latter, let me clear it up for you and change the way you shop. For me, the Wegman's experience is an ongoing one with their app. This app allows you to create multiple shopping lists at once and automatically organizes your items into the aisle where you can find them. It also displays the price of each item and gives you an estimated cost of your trip at the bottom of each list. You can also browse recipes on the app and automatically add the items needed to your shopping list if you find a recipe you want to try. If you utilize this app efficiently and to its fullest potential, you can easily stick to a budget here. My shopping list brings me through the amazing produce section where you can find just as many organic items as conventional. Great quality and selections. For an extra dollar or two you can even get a lot of fruits and veggies ready for cooking or eating right away. I then will stroll through the bakery which has fresh baked breads, cookies, pies, bagels and more. The prepared food section is among the best I've ever seen in a store. Lots of choices from Italian, sushi, Chinese, and even some great American comfort food classics. Seafood and meat here are expensive but very good quality. There are lots of wild caught and organic options. I could go on and on but I'm sure you get the point by now. You can get some great stuff here while on a budget or you can splurge and get some amazing cheeses and wines all in one location. We were recently near the area on the way back from PA and decided to hit up this wegmans again and the pizza is not what it used to be. total downgrade. 20 inches to 16 inches and increase in pricing too. I get inflation but why not keep the pizza the way it use to be and charge a little more. double whammy = total let down. i pay more for less. i don't think ill ever hit up this location again unfortunately. read more

If Trader Joes and Whole Foods had a baby, it would be Wegmans. It has the prices and fun variety of international foods like TJs, but the quality and appearance of Whole Foods. Wegmans has become our go-to supermarket. The produce is so fresh, the Mediterranean bar is excellent (we love the grape leaves, sun dried tomatoes, and giant white beans), the organic section is really expansive, and they have a giant liquor store inside. Also, the bakery is not your run of the mill supermarket bakery. Their butter cream cakes and fruit tarts are unbelievably delicious. People are always amazed when we tell them we got them at a supermarket! Want to go food shopping and also don't feel like making dinner? Wegman's prepared foods are great. They even have sushi. Wegmans is the reason I look forward to going food shopping. read more

Go to Wegman's for your shopping -- not for lunch. We stopped by Wegman's this afternoon for a quick lunch. And our experience was very disappointing considering how much we've enjoyed shopping there. For $24 we got lunch for two. My husband meandered around the hot buffet collecting mostly Chinese food. The items were mediocre, at best -- and not worth the hefty prices. You'll do better at a discount all-you-can-eat buffet. The rice used in the fried rice wasn't an Asian variety. We'd expect more from a self-described "gourmet" supermarket. I had two orders of sushi. They were okay for supermarket sushi. But with 4 or 5 sushi chefs running around behind the counter, you'd expect better quality. But the pickled ginger was wilted -- like it was from a can. The wasabi was in a little squeeze plastic thing. And, the rice was dried out. For $8 an order, I think 7-Eleven has better sushi. Then, as we were eating in the loft above, I noticed a few disturbing things in the sushi area below. For the entire 30 minutes we were there they left 10-20 pounds of sliced tuna "defrosting" on metal trays at room temperature. And, one of the sushi chefs did not bother to unglove before handling the phone then going back to work. So, if you want to lose weight, and you're hoping some food poisoning will do the trick, spin the wheel at Wegman's sushi. I was also happy to see that they've installed two 150-option soda machines (like the ones they have at Fuddruckers. Unfortunately, they limit you to "one free refill" on their $1.79 24 oz cup. And, well, if you show up on a day like we did. Both machines were broken, offering a very, very limited selection of flat warm soda. Only one machine had ice, so you had to go up and down the stairs just to refill an get ice. Sorry, Wegman's, but my whole experience has made me think twice about the handling and quality of all your products. read more

I've been going this Wegmans since I was a kid. I love it here. It's classy, there's a ton of great products, fresh produce, meats, fish, cheese, coffees, etc. I love the sushi options, the pizza, the Chinese buffet, and above all: THE MARCO POLO BREAD. It's a life staple. It's so delicious. The crust is unbelievable and the bread itself is doughy and soft. I love this bread. read more

What is there not to love about Wegmans? They store is very clean, associates are very friendly, great selection of products and very reasonable prices. If you have never been to a Wegmans, you must must must check out their cheese department and olive bar. They also have a great selection of organic products. Also, I love the store brand products. I have tried a lot of them from ice cream to bbq sauces to cereals to pasta and all have usually exceeded the quality of the name brands. (Try their brand of Oreos called Os.....you won't be disappointed) If you are in Wegmans and need a coffee fix, their coffee bar is great! And if you need lunch or dinner definitely try the prepared foods. There is a hot soup station, chinese section, salad bar, sushi section, sub shop, pizza shop, and the list goes on and on. You can eat in the store or take it home. All Wegmans locations have nice seating areas. Everything is done very well. The bakery section is outstanding. You will find fresh baked bread, donuts, muffins, and a huge assortment of cakes. Yum yum yum! read more

I've been to this Wegmans location twice. It is really a great place to shop, eat and take care of a bunch of things you need to do. The aisles are always stocked, clean and neat. The employees in all of their departments are knowledgeable and friendly. The meat department staff will gladly cut you steaks or beef in any size you are looking for, or split a pre-packaged selection for you. They are also helpful with recipe reccomendations, and being able to tell you exactly in the store where you will be able to find something. The lines move quickly, and best of all, once you're done you can get a bite to eat upstairs in their self-serve eatery. Wegmans is really a great place and the food is average priced and good. Large parking lot outside and I even saw an employee offer to put a womans items in her car for her. read more

I used to love wegmans. It is right down the road but lately it just SUCKS!! I give it a 3 just because i used to love it and i sincerely don't want to outright loath it. Every time I go, and i mean every time, either they are plain out of what i need or the shelf isn't stocked. it isn't an easy place to park and run in, so to find out they cannot give me what i came in for is really annoying... I need to SEARCH for an employee or use one of the help phones. Wait several minutes to have somebody finally help me and either A. find out the item is out of stock or B. find out they have it - just nobody has stocked shelf. WTF is that about!?!?! Who doesnt stock their MILK and EGG shelves!! They are staples. These are THREE separate instances/visit to store in the last 2 weeks!!! 1. Went to get chicken cutlets, not a very special or difficult item. But they had NONE!! Not even chicken breasts, nothing!! WHAT GROCERY STORE RUNS OUT OF CHICKEN!?!! 2. I got to buy eggs, they have not stocked their shelves. NO 18 egg cartons, no 24 egg cartons. .....I am not the only one in search of lots of eggs.....guess what they don't have the larger cartons. but i waited for somebody to come, go behind the shelves and search...it took 10 minutes. 10 minutes i shouldn't of had to wait. 3. I went today to purchase almond breeze almond milk. This is not an uncommon item yet they have yet again not stocked their shelves. A girl comes to help finally, after i have yet again waited for 5 minutes and used the help phone. She has no clue what almond breeze almond milk is. WTH. It was back there, not shelved. she hands me one and walks away, leaves the shelf unstocked. AGAIN.....staples should be stocked!!! read more

Wegmans stands way above among many supermarket chains. They are the Publix of the northeast in terms of overall satisfaction. Customer service rivals the framework of a Costco with just about the same square footage of Costco. Food selection and quality is second to none. Based in Rochester NY , most of the stores are upstate NY and NJ. As a ex Long Islander , we were not privy with store of such greatness as Wegmans. The Food court is itself amazing, the best of any supermarket food court hands down! read more

Lovely lunch options...My favorite being steamed tofu and vegetables on the Asian buffet with a bit of brown rice. Good stuff. I'm from upstate New York originally and I'm always homesick for Wegmans, especially considering the mostly lackluster grocery options here. I'm also always on the lookout for Wegmans when we travel, to stock up on my favorites while I can. It was complete luck (and a very happy surprise!) that we came across this Wegmans on our way to a wedding and stopped here for lunch both to and from the event. The first time, an employee was nice enough to heat up packaged dumplings in boiling water for us to eat in the store (well, overlooking the store upstairs). We also had sushi--Wegmans sushi is much better and more inventive than typical grocery sushi. The second visit we almost didn't need to busy lunch because there were so many free samples around, from eggplant parmesan to a rib and sausage red sauce. I did grab some soup (curried apple) and it was excellent, as was the chai tea on the way out. I saw that they are expanding their alcohol section and really turning into a one stop shop. The only downside was that the store was almost uncomfortably busy and crowded on Sunday, but that does show how popular it is. Next time I will remember to bring a cooler so I can get my favorite ice cream flavor, Wegmans cinnamon! read more

Wegmans is hands down the best supermarket. They have the freshest fruit and vegetables by far, and the best selection as far as getting out of season or exotic items. Their cheese counter beats any cheese specialty shop in NJ, and the staff really knows what they are doing. The nearby olive bar is equally impressive. The best part of Wegmans though, is their prepared foods/butcher/fish department. So many options!!! You can purchase your meals in any stage of development from the base ingredients to fully prepared, just heat and eat, and there is a tremendous variety. I consider myself to be quite fortunate to live near a Wegmans because it is second to none the best supermarket in the immediate area. I still shop at shoprite for certain things and always cringe every time I go there, after coming from Wegmans where it's so spotless with ever helpful staff. I was just given an escort to help me with the cart and bags once while heavily pregnant and another time had a staff member to help push the second cart containing my purchases, while I had my son in his baby carrier in my main shopping cart. Great great great grocery chain. And I love to support businesses that have a reputation for treating their customers AND employees well. Love those $6-8 meals in the prepared food section, too. I've noticed that since the recent reorganization of the store, they seem to be out of a lot of products lately...D'Artagnan duck breasts, frisee, Hungarian hot paprika (not sweet), some other items. All in all though, this place makes all of my culinary dreams come true. If you are a big home cook, this is the only place to shop. Suggestion (if anyone in management/ordering reads this): You guys should think about carrying local buffalo from Readington Buffalo Farm and chicken from Griggstown Farm. Good stuff. read more

I love Wegmans. It's always neat and clean, and the staff is helpful. Their business hours work better with my schedule than other places I go for organic produce. When I am starving, I'll sit down for a quick meal in their cafe before shopping. They also have a wine, liquor, and beer store adjacent to the food grocery. I haven't shopped at Whole Foods in years, but I remember the pricing of Wegmans produce being the better deal. I've never had to wait long in the checkout lines which means a lot if you agree time is our most precious gift.
