Their staff is incredibly hardworking, trustworthy, and attentive, making the entire experience smooth and reassuring regardless of the situation. Extremely Disappointed With This Representation…read more I paid this law firm $5,000 for representation, and I honestly feel like I received little to no value for that money. Throughout my case, there was so much miscommunication that I was left without a clear understanding of what my sentence would actually involve and what would be expected of me. I repeatedly felt that my concerns were not taken seriously, my questions were not properly answered, and important details about my plea, probation, and license were not clearly explained to me. I often had to chase down answers myself and do my own research just to understand what was happening with my own case. When I did speak with my attorney, I often felt talked down to and treated as though my questions were a burden. I expected professional communication and patience, especially considering the amount of money I paid for representation. For $5,000, I expected someone who would communicate with me, prepare me, explain my options, listen to my concerns, and actually advocate for me. Instead, I felt like my case was treated as though it wasn't important. Quite honestly, I feel I would have received the same level of attention from a free public defender--and at least then I wouldn't have paid $5,000 expecting personalized legal representation. This experience has left me extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. I would not recommend this firm to anyone who expects their attorney to communicate with them, treat them with respect, answer their questions, and genuinely advocate for their interests. $5,000 is a significant amount of money. I expected significantly more than what I received.

Mr. Kirwan was also excellent at following up with me, checking to see when I was ready to move forward with the filing. When at that time I was refereed to him, they did not tell me that his first consult is free. I spoke to Joseph for an hour or two, he promptly accepted $100 taking advantage of my lack of understanding. Once I was informed by the BAR association that he was NOT supposed to accept any money, I contacted Mr. Bergh numerous times. He failed to send a check in the mail. I traveled up to his cubical which he rents from another Firm. When I asked for the money he became very aggressive to the point he was shaking and sweating. When I told him I would contact the police he got even more hostile and began to walk towards me. At this point I made it clear if he stepped one foot closer or touched me in any way I would have no problem contacting Law Enforcement. Mr. Bergh stated that I was "desperate" and "Crazy". And also assured me that he "never wants to see my face again and I am not allowed to come back". Which, if he was a real attorney, he would know that he doesn't have the authority to trespass me from the premises, the owner of the establishment does. To top it all off, Silly Mr. Bergh did all of this in front of a client he was consulting. When I asked him to step out and discuss this issue in the lobby, he replied with "if my client is going to pay me, she's also going to be my witness to this." Unprofessional, disgusting, and lacks basic understanding of work ethic.
