Not a favorite for me whatsoever. Management talks big but they don't deliver. They struggled with my weeds for over a year and a half. I canceled the contract that was pre-paid. They told me they would refund the money for the remaining applications but I've never received it. $279 is a lot of money to ignore. Still waiting. And I'm not the only one that had an issue. Look at their reviews. So many people have had the same problems. I can imagine how many people haven't posted issues and just let them keep the money without dealing with the BS. read more

We've had weedman for 3 years in Myrtle Beach and they are a scam. Weve had moles that now have killed our lawn and called them and they said they would provide 6 treatments to rid the moles. They did only 2 treatments. Once we cancelled our lawn service with them they stopped trying to treat the moles. Would not give our money back. They are not worth the service and we paid 384.96 for 3 months service. They never came back for the mole problem! Find another lawn care company. This company is a fraud and scam. They tell you they will treat problems and use a 1/4 the solutions to maintain lawn to get you to buy more service for chemicals on lawn. Poor customer service! Well do it ourselves and do a better job. we are going to take them to small claims court to get our money back. read more

Beginning of the growing season the grass looked good. But when the hot stressful time, July & August, the grass started having more grassy weeds. The problem continued to get worse. Long story short, my yard ended up with mole cricket infestation and army worms plus some broadleaf weeds. Pictures can't show how bad my yard now looks in the month of November. I hired Weedman of Myrtle Beach SC to core aerate my lawn when I called them to book the appointment, I spoke to a gentleman named Bob who could not have been nicer, more informative or more accommodating. He was super friendly and explained to me the pricing, when it could be done and how it would help my lawn. after booking the appointment, I was contacted by a young lady (Whitney ) who gave me the date and approximate time between noon to 3 pm, the technicians would arrive which was today at 11;45 they arrived (Dave and Brandon) and were just as informative, professional and friendly as everyone else I had dealt with at Weedman. They explained everything they were going to do, what it would look like when they were done, the benefits of what they were doing and what I could expect for results. I really have never dealt with a more professional , accommodating , pleasant company. I had a big problem with nutsedge and engaged Weedman to help get rid of the problem. After charging me $400 for "treatments" over a 8-10 week period- only a small amount of the weeds were killed. I called several times expressing my concerns and just got lip service. I fired them and engaged a different company and they got rid of the nutsedge in one treatment! I asked for a refund from Weedman and got completely rebuffed. I'm sorry I called them in the first place....a complete waste of time and money! read more

I hired Weed Man in the Fall of 2022 with one goal. for them to treat the lawn twice to kill the weeds plus treat my lawn year round with weed and feed and whatever basic chemicals were necessary. I understood they were not a maintenance company like a Gardner. We hard raked the lawn 8 times during the winter and spring so all the dead weeds were gone leaving us with plenty of bald spots! We planted our seeds in Spring and left a thin layer of mulch on top. It took a month but we now have real grass where all those weeds were last year. I am so happy with this company. They have only charged me bimonthly for their services and I plan to keep them on. This review was one year in the making! read more

Nice people on the phone BUT, after a season of Weed Man in Myrtle Beach, I've had to scalp my lawn down to 1 in. because the weeds were getting so bad. I daily spend 15-20 minutes just pulling weeds before they flower. I signed up for a prorated (6/7) month left of WEED service application to be applied each month. I paid my first prorated bill on April 29, 2018 for a monthly week application that they didn't apply until 06/29/18. Months went by. I tried emailing and calling to no avail. Weed reached the height of my knees and above. I continued to get bills for what I don't know. I received on call, thinking they were calling me back but it was someone trying to sell a $150 fire ant service. I told him about the extreme weed problem. I received another bill for $68.66 but that was for one chinch treatment. I though (as they specifically said) they were going to apply a weed treatment every month for remainder of the year. I have used Weedman since February 2021. They have been to my home to treat the yard 6 times since February at the cost of $763.37. I've had 1 aeration, 3 fertilizer treatments, 1 mole cricket treatment and 1 weed control. I am not here to complain or gripe about the cost but to voice my dismay at the lack of customer service from the call taker to the operations manager when I had a concern. They never call, text or email when they are going to come do service, they just show up... I'm not a big fan of this practice since they could take the person that calls in the evenings trying to sell extra services and have them call the customers they plan to service the next day and give them a heads up they are coming out. You get no notification whatsoever they are coming to your home; I don't really care for that because they typically show up when I am not home. On Friday 7/9/21 I received an emailed invoice at 8:03am in the amount of $82.50. I immediately thought that was odd because I had not received a notice from my cameras anyone was in my yard. Any time my yard is cut, fertilized, car rides by, mail is delivered, you name it, I am alerted with a live camera feed. Today I looked in the cameras history and I have the Weedman employee pulling up to my home and putting an invoice on my door handle and leaving, he did not perform the service!!! Just left me a bill!!! I thought maybe he needed to run get something and would be back to fertilize my yard, that did not happen. I called their office at 8:30 and explained this to the person that answered the phone, she said "why would this guy risk his job for your yard?" She went on to explain he worked there for 6 years and I must be wrong....what??? I couldn't believe how I was handled, she did everything but call me a liar. I told her it would be best to have a manager call me. At 9:31 the operations manager called and basically mirrored the call takers attitude that my cameras must not be working properly and that he would go to my house and look at my yard. Funny thing is when he pulled in front of the house the camera sends me the alert and I watch him get out the truck walk around up the walkway, look around and leave. He then proceeds to text me while I'm at work. I responded and made it clear I wanted to cancel all services with them and that I would not be paying $82.50 for services not rendered. He continued to only want to prove my cameras aren't working properly because the tech came before 8am and didn't knock on the door. It was just a poor customer service experience and for that kind of money, I expect more from the company and I did not get it. Proceed with caution. I hired Weedman in Myrtle Beach to care for my newly installed SOD on a new construction home. The new SOD was flawless, vibrant, healthy and thriving when Weedman in Myrtle Beach was hired. I gave it two years, and the SOD has declined to the point that there are dead spots in the yard that had to be replaced, the SOD is now very thin, etc. Weeds have overtaken the SOD, the lawn is in terrible condition. The whole yard is sprinklered, and I have done every service Weedman requested. I even had soil samples done which indicated there was not a soil problem. All I got from these guys is excuses, one after the other. Bottom line is I paid for their service for two years and got a messed up yard in return. I use Weedman at my home in GA, with EXCELLENT results. My GA yard looks like it came off of a magazine cover. The GA franchise in Warner Robins is outstanding. The Myrtle Beach, SC group are duds. Since I got a reply with a phone number to call Weedman but can't reply I will just have to do it this way. Once again the person replying mentioned the cold and the ice as being the cause for lawns not doing good this year but it is funny that we have brown grass all over and even places where there is nothing but dirt where we used to have grass and yet our neighbor who didn't get any kind of treatment has nice green grass and no bare spots and it was just as cold and had ice, I don't remember ice, and ours is dead and theirs is nice and green. Weedman killed our grass and looking at the neighbors grass I call BS on this excuse I have now been told twice by representatives from Weedman. Our guy came out to cut the grass, we needed the weeds that we still had that were 6 inches tall to be cut so at least everything is even now, and while he was cutting it was like a dust storm because of all the places there is nothing but dirt left. I refuse to call Weedman and I refuse to talk to anyone from Weedman because it could get ugly. We have been here for going on 8 years and we had a year where we had ice bringing down tree limbs twice during one winter and our grass didn't die. Said they would call before coming and treating my lawn, and that treatment would take care of bald spots on the lawn. We agreed they would come in two weeks. They showed up unannounced when no one was home almost a month and a half later, and left a sign with the bill saying that the lawn had been treated for weeds. The instructions said not to water the lawn for some time or something like that, and yet the treatment was done during the week when we had rain storm every night. When i called to say that they were not expected and that the lawn had already been treated before them, i was asked why i had not called and asked why they were not coming. So make sure you remind them to come and do the job as agreed, because they will only remember to put up a sign in your yard and bill you. The allegedly provided treatment didn't even touch the weeds, as was promised. I can't help mentioning the dismal experience of communicating with customer service representative who repeatedly failed to make sense and pulled words out of context, instead of making any valid effort to save the face of this pathetic company. She just kept pushing for payment and coercing to sign up for more treatments. I can't emphasize enough STAY AWAY FROM THEM! Don't repeat my mistake of paying for nothing! read more
