Please do not proceed with hiring weedman from Bloomington Indiana. I would not recommend working with Jenna for any customer service needs. It is more gaining sales then providing good customer service. We had a very disappointing experience with Weedman in Bloomington. We had canceled their service, yet they still came out and did work on our yard anyway. We asked them to not charge us, we took our bank information and they still charged us. To make matters worse, they turned away the mower we had already scheduled instead of asking us what we wanted done. Who do they think they are turning away someone else's hired mower without even asking us? The confusion started because we had two accounts under our address, and only one was canceled correctly. Instead of clarifying with us, they went ahead with unnecessary service. I understand it was confusion on both ends but they should have made it right as a business. At least take off a discount but no help at all and stopped returning my calls. When we contacted them about the mistake, Jenna was not helpful and insisted that we still pay for a service we specifically did not want. This kind of poor communication, lack of accountability, and refusal to work with customers after their own error is very frustrating. We expected professionalism but did not receive it. We will not be using Weedman again, and I recommend that anyone considering them be very cautious. Who do they think they are turning away someone else's hired mower without even asking us? About 5 months in we realized there were never any granules in yard called manager and he didn't take 3 steps into yard and said none of our product is out here! Well no $^&% Sherlock! We've canceled all service with this company. We have dogs and a doggie door. They opened back gate, went back to their truck and dogs got out. This is NOT the first time and we had requested they knock or ring doorbell before opening back gate. At first we were happy with the way our lawn had looked but think they may have started watering stuff down or using less quality products as it hasn't looked as good as when we first started using them. I have been using Weedman for many years. Most years I do feed and weed control and aeration with grub control but this year decided to not do the aeration and grub control primarily due to expense. Daphne still gave me a 10% prepay discount whixh.made me happy. Thought about not renewing Weedman this year because I've had issues with them not being proactive with weed and broadleaf control and their reluctance to send a manager to address my issues. Paid hundreds and weeds were not controlled. When I called for the retreat, they came out and fertilized charging me more money and didn't give me the guarantee retreat, customer service later offered me a discount in my service (the regular price) and no retreat was ever done after months of calling. Company started out great But then... started seeing crab grass and dandelions in the yard. Called Company to discuss a walk through to show my concerns and got tge run around. Saud a manager/supervisor was to be here at 9am, get a message that said 8:30am. No one EVER showed. I called them at 9:25 was told they'd have someone call me. That never happened. If you want your yard damage hire them. This is what you will get and they will say they didn't use product to do it. After this damage was done they proceeded to tell me that another lawn company could've sprayed my yard when nobody on my entire street has a lawn care company but me and no other lawn service showed up on my household cameras but them. They have also destroyed other people in the communities yard but do a good job of hiding the fact of it and not taking accountability for their yards either do not use them!!! There is no way that the damage could've been done by anyone else like I said I have outdoor cameras and reviewed the footage there was no other lawn company at my house. And offer me a solution y'all told me you wouldn't give me back my money for the application that caused this damage but you guarantee your work so unless you could prove that somebody else is on my yard and my camera show that nobody else is on my yard I don't understand how this is not y'all's fault. I was actually shocked by all the one star ratings. I have been a customer for 4 years now and I have the best lawn in the neighborhood. The team at Weedman has been great. They overly communicate, give accurate quotes when requested and they have worked with me thru the tough times. I have had other company's offer better pricing, good for a year than goes up, but I don't mind paying a little more for the awesome customer service. After a couple years of failing to control the weeds I decided to hire a professional. Thank you to the team at Weedman for making my yard the destination place it has become. We signed up for both the aeration and overseeding as well as the season service for fertilizer and weed control - total of something close to $650. We were relatively satisfied with the weed control and fertilizer until around the end of the year. Around August/September, we started to see a lot of thistles coming back in the lawn. And we were definitely plagued with creeping violet all year. But we sort of expected those things and it was fine. That would have put us about 2 stars - service was mediocre and okay. The treatment was okay. And I would have just gone with another company this year. But - the aeration and overseeding was a complete disaster and waste of my money. Most of the seed didn't take and I currently have a large strip of dirt still in my yard. I was promised to have another aeration to be complete in the fall - and in fact per the person I spoke to on the phone, aeration SHOULD be done in the fall and not the spring and he was confused as to why it was done in the spring at all. Fast forward to the fall and no aeration has been scheduled. I get a call from my mother one day to let me know someone in a Weed Man uniform showed up and dumped seed on the front lawn. Literally, just had a spreader and was throwing seed onto the front lawn. I didn't receive a phone call, the ground wasn't raked or prepared at all, and I wasn't notified by Weed Man to do any watering for the lawn. Even all of this I had planned to let go and just not go with Weed Man again in the future - I had no intention of leaving a negative review; however, I come home one evening this week, let my dogs out, and then notice that my back gate was left wide open by a Weed Man service person and trash was left in my back yard from their treatment. My dog got out and we spent the remainder of the night trying to find her. Thankfully, we were able to track her down and found her unharmed. For the amount of money that I spent, the service I received -- all of which culminated in negligence that nearly got my dog killed - I would highly recommend going with another company. read more

We politely declined to go with their services. Next thing we know, we got a bill for $800 from them, saying they had already sent out some people to do "several treatments." Which is a pure lie. I work from home so I am very well aware if there was anyone coming on our property. I have NEVER seen anyone come to do treatments on our property. We called them and they said we had agreed to the service (pure pure bullshit). We challenged them to show us any paperwork with our signatures on it. Of course they couldn't do it. I used them last season. They did do service as requested but they ALWAYS said my yard needed more services. They sent me out 3 letters during the winter giving me a quote for this seasons treatments if I chose to use them. I did not send them back in or agree to use them again this year. I wanted to shop around for better prices as they were so high. Come home today 3/22/2017 after being gone for a short time to find a bill on my door for a weed treatment they "allegedly " just performed. THEY TRESS PASSED ON MY LAWN AND PUT WHATEVER DOWN WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. When I called to complain, they said that they don't have contracts (they should to avoid these issues), but their service is a continuation service and unless you let them know that you do not want the service, they will continue from season to season. My question to them is, why send out agreements in the winter asking for your future service with a price lock in, if they are going to do the service anyway? No apologies, no making this right, they just kept insisting that they had a right to enter my yard and put whatever down on my yard without my permission. Never did they ever explain to me that they would be performing services on my yard FOREVER, unless I told them to stop. Who does this? This is one backwards, scamming company. Just read the other reviews...they do this consistently to their customers. Also, on the note they left today, the technician listed that I needed aeration and seeding.
