Some of them were using glass cups, others ceramic utensils to move little cotton balls from one container to other, a couple were "playing" with pouring water from different containers in an activity that seemed so hard for even some adults to master, but for those little hands, it's was normal. I asked the school director, Ms. Claudia, "what if they drop something!" She smiled and replied to me: "we all have accidents now and then! It's ok if they do. It would provide the kids with a chance to learn that it's ok to make mistakes, a chance to clean up their mess (help of teachers if there's glass involved), and start all over again. But more often they won't. And that's how a sense of security if formed." We registered our kids and by the time they were 13 months they started their Montessori journey in this AMAZING hidden gem of a school. They have been attending full time since then and they are now 5 years old. We can't say enough good things about this place. All of the teachers: baby class with head teacher Ms. Barbara, 3 yo to 6 yo class Ms Verónica and Ms Lissette, their aids in all the classes, the aftercare teachers and last but not least: Ms Claudia. Our kids could not have been better of at ANY other preschool in Broward County. They are all so caring, love their job, love the children and have become family to us. In all the time we had our boys attending this school we never felt like they were not taken care of. Academically our boys have flourished and are able to perform well above their peers (compared to children attending other schools). Not every 4 year old knows about the world continents, countries, what they speak, what they eat, etc.. or cares about adding and subtracting numbers, the shapes, they understand what primary colors are and what you get by mixing them, they've even had a chance to practice their Spanish! To me even more important is the character development: our kids have also learned about respect: of their peers, of the environment, of their teachers and of course parents. My kids know how to care for the environment: they have learned about recycling and how it would help planet earth, they like taking care of the plants, the animals and they jump at the opportunity of helping anyone with anything. They have learned little things like cleaning tables and windows, putting dishes away, washing dishes, swiping the floor and are even eager to prepare their own snacks! They love being independent and they do so because they were never told at this school that "they couldn't" or that "it's too hard for them" or that "they would break it". I Could not have asked for more! If you are looking for a school for your kids, look no further that Sweet and Smart Montessori. A TRUE Montessori education!!

I toured about 4 other schools before finally coming here. I called to schedule a tour and they told me no need, you can pop in any time (bonus if you want to see what is REALLY going on at your child's preschool). I toured with the director Cindy and my son loved it so much he cried that he didn't want to leave! Everyone was so loving and warm, I felt like I would be leaving him with family members. The scheduling is very flexible if you need to drop Off earlier or pick up later. He is now enrolled in their "older" two year class and he absolutely loves it. The teachers are rude so so rude and that's not how Montessori teachers should be ! Montessori is about letting your kid use your imagination first and teach the kids on different ways . The teacher Daphne was rude so rude from day one (orientation day) I had to call the director to talk about it because she literally made my Daugther cry that day. The first 2 week they told me over a meeting that my Daugther was doing amazing, everything changed after that meeting and after my Daugther (who never went to school before )had 3 bad days Friday , Monday and Tuesday they decided she didn't fit in . My Daugther literally attended 13 days and those 3 days they waited so they could get the step up money after 10 days of school the money belongs to them . The only person there that is worth it is the lady from the front desk she's amazing. Let me also mention that my Daugther was the only new student in that class , so let that sink in .

There was a different theme for every month to keep the kids engaged and focused on a single area. Space, Countries, flowers, etc. The lunch menu they provide, sometimes it looks like he's eating lunch better than I am. Never a complaint about the food provided. During the events that took place where the food was catered in (from the same company that does their daily catering) The food came hot and full of flavor. Throughout the year there have been multiple events to encourage parental involvement, embracing that learning for kids is a shared exposure at school, and at home; parents and teachers working together. Last night was graduation, it was a full on production held at Coral Springs Charter School's auditorium. Multiple dance routines from the kids, an amazing ceremony. I couldn't be happier.

I am 100% certain that in this daycare the teachers truly care about my son. They make sure he is eating everything I send, even if they have to sit and feed him with airplanes and choo choo trains! they are also bilingual and I even though he is only 2 years old, he counts till 10 in English and Spanish and he knows all the colors and shapes. Fast forward 7 yrs later there's a kid in the aftercare/camp -who happens to be the son and grandson of two of their teachers- has been bullying both of my kids and my nephew for over a year now. My husband, my sister and I have voiced our concerns to the aftercare teachers and also the directors but the bullying has continued despite all of that. Today at noon there was a big incident where the bully hurt my son by scratching his chest breaking his skin and leaving him with bloody marks, he also broke his gold necklace which was a gift from his late grandfather. I was shocked when I came to pick him up at 4pm and learned about the incident and to my surprise I see the boy still sitting there in the classroom playing with the other kids like nothing happened. I spoke with the co-director Kimberly very seriously, she got defensive because I questioned why I wasn't called when this incident happened and the bully wasn't separated from the class. Her response was that they couldn't punish him for the whole afternoon, that she talked to his mom -the bare minimum she could've done tbh. My mother was waiting for me at the door and saw Kimberly rolling her eyes and making faces as I turned my back to leave. I found this behavior very immature and disrespectful which also led me to realize that they won't take my seriously once again. Apparently she expected me to not complain and go home quietly and somehow explain to my children that ppl get to hurt them and there are no consequences to their actions because "they're just kids"

The Director Kirsten is nothing short of amazing and warm (not to mention thorough) - she even knows and addresses the children there by name which says a lot! The facility is super clean, secure and very organized. The teachers all seem very sweet and attentive and of course, very welcoming. Everything from the curriculum, staff, facility, cleanliness, security, atmosphere, customer service is top notch- well worth every cent. Will review again once my baby actually starts the program.
