We traveled with a total of 4 families with children to spend our Fourth of July in Tahoe. We decided to use a daycare service for a couple of hours and found We Care 4 Kidz. They were recommended by Marriott's Timber Lodge and I found their website informative and reached out to Dee the owner. Dee got back to me with any questions I had and I made a reservation. We had 2 nannies because of the number of children we had (7). Lauren and Destinee were great. They came to the lodge, took the kids for ice cream, ordered them pizza, played hide and seek, and even painted the girls' nails a fun July fourth theme. My kids loved them and asked if we could use them again. Billing was reasonable and so easy. We gave them a credit card which they charged and sent an invoice/receipt the next morning. We needed a sitter at the last minute to watch our kids over MLK weekend while we were skiing - I was so impressed with Dee and her company. Unlike other agencies we called, Wee Care 4 Kids was very responsive and professional. She was able to confirm a sitter for us very quickly and was easy to work with. Kianna came on Saturday morning to watch our 20 month old, and the two of them had a great time. She even brought him over to the village for a walk and to pick up his 4 year old sister after her ski lesson was over. This is to the owner herself, Dee. Thank you very much for backing out at the very last minute. Supposedly you were our nanny for the night since your 50+ nannies had other jobs to attend too. As a owner not only should you have professionalism but you should have some damn common sense as to how to run a business. First and foremost, I contacted Wee for kids a day before to schedule a nanny for my son for 5 hours in the evening starting at 8pm. We exchanged information and she confirmed my nanny was herself (which I was fine with). All this was taken care of that afternoon. The next day she calls, texts, emails me about 7:25pm, 35 minutes prior to when she's scheduled to come in to tell me she has invalid credit card information. You mean to tell me with yesterday and all day the next day you couldn't email, text, call me to let me know? We once again sent her not only one credit card information but another one just to be told 'Sorry I had to cancel your nanny service for tonight'. That was a dead give away she just didn't want to come. Well thank you for letting me know at the very end. I had other companies that had contacted me around the same time you did willing to provide services but since you were the first person to call me back. I thought it would be fair to go with you. I had a bad experience with this establishment. After signing up for the service I was "confirmed" with a nanny. I then asked for another nanny. We went back and forth several times and never landed on a nanny. Two days before my trip to Tahoe, my son got sick and I had to cancel. I let WeeCare4Kidz know that they need not book a nanny for me (none were confirmed). Unfortunately, they still charged me. read more

This is not a review of the nannies, but of the owner, Dee. (The nannies themselves were good). The communication and correspondence with Dee was terrible. It started with trying to confirm the reservation. I booked 2 months ahead of time and had to reach out numerous times just to make sure they were working on our reservation. Each time I checked in they asked me same question about our dates though even though this was in the reservation. Finally, I heard back and Dee told me she was going to waive some fees. We had to make some changes the week of the reservation and that completely confused her and I had to spend about 30 min on the phone with her just to help her understand schedules. I had to hold her hand and help her make a schedule for her nannies the day she arrived to our room and caused us to miss out on some good skiing just so she could sort out her own schedule. She vented to me about her personal challenges and her business challenges both on the phone and when I met her in person (remember, this is our vacation). She seriously needs help running this business. Not only was I confused but so were the nannies. Dee filled in for some of her girls and she showed up late TWICE. Once she was 3 hours late without any notification to us and left a nanny with 2 babies and a toddler and not knowing when Dee would come! The worst part is that she gave an invoice that matched the hours worked, and then she sent another invoice with all these additional fees she said she was going to waive. Long story short- NOT WORTH THE TIME AND EFFORT DURING YOUR VACATION and COMPLETELY UNETHICAL BILLING PRACTICES. I was hoping all this confusion was due to her recent illness, but the nannies confirmed that she is very challenging to work with as well. read more

This review is long overdue! We used Wee Care 4 Kidz last year for New Year's Eve 2013. Granted, I have never left my children with anyone except my Mother. You can say that I was a bit nervous about leaving my children with just anyone. Although, this was a big birthday bash/New Year's Party and we really wanted an adult night out. Prior to finding Wee Care 4 Kidz I tried several other places. More than half didn't even return phone calls. Dee actually answered my call on the first try! Dee also made sure to send a nanny who had experience with infants. Dee's prices were also the most reasonable. All Nannies are certified and FBI fingerprinted. I was even offered a social security number of the nanny if I wanted it. Dee could tell I was anxious about having a stranger sit with my kids. I had a 5 year old and a 1 year old. At the time, my cousin also had her 6 month old cared for at the same time. In a nut shell, the kids were very well taken care of and my 5 year old couldn't wait to be babysat by again. Of course the nanny played video games with him which he enjoyed VERY much. We had a great night out and will DEFINITELY be using Wee Care 4 Kidz again! I have used We Care 4 Kidz nanny service many many times while in Reno. Dee has fantastic nannies that truly care about children. I have used Dee's services for about 3 years now and my daughter age 5 loves when the nannies come. The last time we were in Reno, the nanny that came recognized my daughter from a couple years prior. The nannies are certified and bring their credentials with them. They also bring on request arts and crafts for the kids to do activities. I had asked the nanny if she could take my daughter bowling as the Grand Sierra Resort has a bowling alley. The nanny gladly took my daughter. She also helped with giving her a bath. When its time to leave, the nannies always give my daughter a hug. They are so kind to the children. I believe their minimum is 3 hours but well worth it. We were very hesitant at first to use the service as we have never left our daughter with any stranger before. Since the Grand Sierra Resort referred us, we thought it would be okay to give it a try. We have used them ever since. read more

We had an excellent experience with Wee Care 4 Kidz on our mid-winter vacation trip to the Squaw Valley area near Reno/Lake Tahoe. Dee, the owner, was very helpful in accommodating a short notice request. Katie, the babysitter, was great with our 14-month daughter, who was very comfortable staying with Katie. She was punctual, kept us up to date with text/video updates, very professional overall. We were hesitating a lot to leave our daughter with someone else totally unknown to us in a vacation location. Two days before the trip (Valentine's Day/President's Day weekend), I called the hotel for nanny references and Wee Care 4 Kidz was one of the four they provided. I looked up Yelp and only two of them had good reviews. I called the other service but they had no availability. Then I looked up Wee Care 4 Kidz, filled out the nanny request form and spoke with Dee, who tried to get us someone at a short notice and within a couple of hours confirmed us with Katie along with her full bio and picture. Dee kept us up to date along the way with Katie's contact information and had us confirm our exact location once we got there. Katie arrived on time the next day and spent 2 days with our daughter, leaving us to enjoy our vacation without much worry. read more

We contacted Dee at the last minute last weekend because our scheduled childcare had fallen through for Monday. Dee called me back right away to let me know that she was working to find a childcare provider for us. She called us back a short time later to let us know that Stormi would arrive at our condo early the following morning. Stormi arrived early and immediately put us at ease. She asked all the right questions, she was professional and our 3 year old daughter immediately took to her. They had a great day together and we never worried for a second. My husband and I absolutely love Wee care 4 Kidz. Not only are they extremely professional and accomodating, the billing process was seamless and communication was just great. I am a new mom and was very new to the whole experience and a bit aprehensive but I felt so secure and at ease with Dee, her staff, their credentials and experience. We lived in Tahoe Donner temporally for about 6 months and had Sharon Dunkley watch our 1 year old exclusively. We can't say enough nice things about her and how well she managed our daughter. She was professional and caring and really knew how to care for a young child. Our daughter took to her instantly and even though we are moving back to the Bay Area we will continue to request her during ski season. We are older parents of two children, 3 and 8. Because Wee Care 4 Kids was a pre-screened vendor of the Ritz Carlton where we stayed, we did not hesitate to call them. The nanny arrived on time and ready to take over. This was our first time using any sort of nanny service but could tell within the first few minutes of talking to her that she was a solid individual with a good amount of confidence and experience. The children had so much fun and we felt at ease. The nanny set boundaries, kept the children safe, and provided a wonderful and active day. She took them on the gondola to the village two different times, and also spent time playing with them in our room. They were happy and content upon our return. Both children have asked us to call her again, even though we have been home a few days. Cost was reasonable. We will not hesitate to call upon them again. It was a valuable service that made our vacation more pleasant for all of us. The agency was easy to deal with. read more
