They use foreign non-english speaking sub contractors.. the first driver was hispanic and spoke very limited english but the second driver was Ukrainian and could not speak a word of english or read street signs.. he had to use a translation app on iphone... he even couldnt figure out how to crank the 4x4 truck he was trying to use the shift that engages the 4 wheel drive instead of the actual shift on the steering column... if we had not already paid in full for both transports in advance we would have canceled.. in addition to that .. upon arrival they both demanded additional money/ payments..argued extensively and rudely and neither of drivers arrived on time or the day guaranteed, always arrived in the middle of the early am like 2-4 am... We had to contact the Webster Hauling owner in Ark each time before they would drop the vehicles.... After threatening to call the Sheriffs office... they finally released our vehicles. We also requested 3x From Webster, the names of the sub contractors they used for these transports but were refused that info.. Will NEVER use this service Again.. BEWARE .... Their Talk is cheap .. but Follow thru is crucial... Sadly, I fell for Wayne's fast talking promises. He told me several times that he would ship both of our Broncos easily, without any stress to me, and for no more than about $2700. He had to ask about our dates almost every time we spoke or texted, we had to contact him for any updates, and our total ended up being about $4000. Wayne knew we were moving across country but he chose to not stay in contact with us; we called and texted him, oftentimes without any response. He promised drivers who never contacted us and would then act like he had no idea that would happen. Our $1000 deposit ended up not being a deposit - money you put down at the beginning of a transaction but then is applied to your total. When we asked if our $1000 went towards the new and greatly beyond the highest rate we were given, Wayne stated that we still had to pay the remaining total (about $3000 to the driver) because the $1000 we paid went to everything that he "did". There is a huge difference between $2700 and $4000! Our Broncos did make it to MD but I did all of the work making Wayne do his job and get our cars on a truck, communicating with the driver, figuring out what still had to be paid at delivery, and when the vehicles would be picked up. I would not refer Wayne or his business to anyone. Being active duty military ourselves, Wayne told me that his passion is to help military families and make the process as smooth as possible. Shipment didn't go as smoothly as planned. 1. pickup to longer than anticipated. 10 or 12 days 2. Additional 200.00 when it was picked up 3. Once picked up delivery was fast, 2 days. 4. Haulers drivers spoke no English. So final delivery was a hassle. The only word they could speak was pay me. I already paid Webster so that negotiation took over an hour. First off, these guys are extremely dishonest about their pricing. They suck you in with teaser rates and then hand the car off to sub-contractors with higher rates than were agreed to. And you're kind of stuck when the driver shows up expecting $300 more than what you agreed to. Thankfully I was able to talk the driver down to $220 extra, but on principle, I think Webster Hauling is extremely sleazy to do business like this. I ended up disputing the deposit charge with my credit card to claw back the overage charge. Wayne is the boss. He said that my car would be picked up by a Thursday but it wasn't actually picked up until the following Thursday. Their customer service was also really crappy. I called in a few times given that the timeline for pickup was delayed, and they were extremely smug and unpleasant. My advice would be to avoid working with Webster Hauling. More broadly, I would say that hiring a broker like this is less than ideal unless you're completely agnostic about when your car arrives and budget in a few extra hundred bucks. read more

IMO, one of the worst customer services experiences I've ever had. Miscommunication between employees on company policies, but the fault seems to fall back on the customer. When trying to ask crucial questions, most of the time the "answers" didn't answer the question at all or didn't make any sense. When I tried to clarify or ask again, I was almost always cut off in mid-sentence by Wayne responding with "we already discussed that." Obviously there's still some lack of clarity or else I wouldn't be asking. That's simply no way to treat a customer. My takeaway was that they knew they had some accountability in the "communication errors" but weren't trying to hear it. It left me feeling uncomfortable and a lack of trust. If you're considering this company, be ABSOLUTELY sure that this is the company for you and take all of these reviews to heart. Read the terms backwards & forwards because they will hold your feet to the fire whether you're right or wrong. Be on the lookout for fees you weren't originally counting on. My photo below is an example of this. This is a text conversation between me and Webster employee Amanda. My original availability date was 7/13. I called Webster to see if that date could be altered, as I needed the car picked up before 7/15. Amanda told me that there was availability for pick up on July 1. I agreed verbally and she sent me this confirmation text. Wayne called me at 3:19pm to tell me I'd have to pay an extra $150. I told him about Amanda's text and he said she was mistaken because she didn't hear him talking on the phone with the driver. I'm still not clear on what that means, as Wayne confirmed in another part of the conversation that he and Amanda were working in two different locations. I'm not sure why there was ever any question/dependence on her overhearing him? I tried to get clarity on that multiple times and he kept repeating that she didn't hear him, which doesn't clarify a thing. Nevertheless, no responsibility on behalf of Webster. I was charged the fee. First time in my life I'd been held responsible for an employee's misstatement. Regardless if Amanda "heard him" or not, Amanda, as an employee of the company, is responsible for communicating policies correctly to customers. If it's their policy to charge an extra fee for moving up the shipment date, Amanda should've know about that prior to texting me. Clause #14, bullet 4 in their Terms states that "[i]f you cancel/cancelled your order after it's been assigned to a carrier does not pick up your vehicle(s). No refund of any kind since said carrier could charge us or leave us a negative review for a car no longer available." When I asked to cancel, I'd only paid $150 deposit. However, Webster held me to the additional $150 charge because of the assignment. They did refund me $25 of my deposit, per a contradictory clause in the Terms, but only after I pointed it out. Good customer service would've been a company owning responsibility for the miscommunication, used my initial $150 deposit to pay the driver, and let the customer walk away with no additional charge. That's definitely not what happened in my case. I ultimately cut my loses and cancelled. Expensive lesson but grateful it didn't go any further. read more
