I'd also like to compliment the infastructure inside and outside. Decor is so cozy and amazing, and the outside is furnished with plants, trees...anything you could think of! How fun. The place was very organized as well! Very impressive I dare say. Everything seems perfect. So why am I giving this place a four stars? Service was a little rocky in my opinion, because the librarian checking us out and "helping us" was slacking very much. There was no whimsy, no joy, no shine or polish, nothing. This is why three out of five of the CDS I checked out were still locked, very unprofessional. This library is awesome though! Of course, as they say, a few bad apples don't ruin the whole batch so I want to overall give kudos to this library! Since this is my go-to branch, I know where to go. First stop is the new released. I usually get a max of two and pick up the rest I find from the regular stacks. Head upstairs to the fiction and mystery and found a light read and the next two murder/mysteries in a series I am reading. I can't miss a stop by the cookbooks; I picked out two new Mediterranean books and two by celebrity chefs. All done. I love self-check-out! You just set the books on the pad, scan your card, select done and you are good to go. My library bag was heavy today!

When I moved to Brentwood in 2010 I was happy to find out that they have an excellent library system. Rather than being part of the County Library system (which is also excellent) they are part of a local library consortium. As part of the consortium a patron has access to a large selection of books, movies, and audio material. I've never had any problems getting an item that I want. On top of the excellent material accessible through the library, I also have to give praise to the staff. They are a very friendly bunch. They also run a lot of great book clubs and crafting events. One last thing is that the membership in the consortium provides access to Hoopla. This provides digital access to books, music, movies, and comic books. It is a great resource for those readers that don't like the feel of a real book in their hands.

There is a large parking lot out front, and designated parking spots for curbside orders and book drops. Upon entering the inside I noticed how new, clean and organized this branch looked. They have a display stand with flyers of upcoming events and resources. They have plenty of seating, computers, and quiet areas you can utilize. The kids library is sectioned off in its own separate area of the library. The librarians were so kind and helpful. They got me together as i misplaced my library card! St louis county libraries are treasures!…read more County residents can get a free library card and get $5 of printing credits (10 cents per b&w sheet). There are always events for youth and adults. You can get tax help, certifications, and literacy assistance. We appreciate the kid friendly areas and this one has a fenced in outdoor playground which is perfect on a good day. This is a very accessible location with great restrooms and hearing aids for book reading. The computer lab is very user friendly too.
