Here is was happened: When we arrived at the Rome Termini B-Rent desk at 12:00 as scheduled there were 4 customers in front of us in line. We stood over 1 hour in line. When we checked in we were informed that because we didn't have an international license that we would have to pay €90. We feel that this charge was NOT disclosed upfront either from Wisecars or from B-Rent. I understand why this is charged but if I had known in advance I would have picked a different service. We feel as this charge is hidden so customers are tricked until it is too late. When we were finished at the Termini B-Rent desk we were informed that we had to walk about 4 blocks through a sketchy area to retrieve our car. With 5 people plus luggage this was a severe inconvenience. When we arrived at the parking lot where our car was we encountered a car that was surprisingly small. I rented a Range Rover thinking this was a big vehicle but it was a tiny hatchback. Our luggage barely fit and it covered the rear window of the vehicle. We feel like the size of the car was not advertised as something close to a sedan rather it was advertised as a Range Rover. This was deceptive. I paid extra for a large vehicle and I was tricked yet again. Then we found out that the vehicle had no gasoline! So we had to waste more time to find a gas station in Rome and fill up the car. We spent close to €80 on gasoline. We are now 2 hours behind schedule from our 12pm pickup time. Once we get on the road towards Florence we realized that a tire sensor was alerting us that a tire was low. We had to stop again and fill the tire! The car was unsafe and we had to fixed it ourselves. Several calls to the B-Rent help hotline went unanswered. Because of the small size of the car we were very uncomfortable for the whole trip. We were so uncomfortable that we opted to return the car early once we got to florence so we could enjoy our trip. At the return desk in Florence the B-Rent staff were very helpful and apologetic. They said that the Rome office has some serious problems. To leave the car early we had to pay €150. A charge that just felt like insult to injury. Because we left the car early we had to find another way to get back to Rome. We bought train tickets for 5 people, I believe the charge was something like €200. All in we paid an extra €520 just so we could enjoy our vacation and receive the service that I already spent close to €200 on. Because of these hidden fees, tricks and problems we rate our experience as extremely low.

Easily one of the highlights of our trip!…read more We really hesitated in renting because of reviews online and the shops seemed to not push you to rent if you were uncomfortable, rather they continuously asked if you've driven before and warn you of the safety of it. I had only been on a Vespa twice before so choosing the 50cc was the best choice for me and my friend. The scariest thing is not driving the machine but navigating it through traffic. And I only say scary to those that are hesitant drivers. Italiens have places to go and be so drive with the flow of traffic and make sure you know where you're going and GO! The owners were really really kind and helpful and answered all the questions we had. I intend on visiting Rome again and I will 100% rent from the same business if I have the opportunity!

I have used this place 4 times over the last couple years and have finally had enough. Originally,…read moreI thought their representations were "accidental" but they consistently have issues with (1) availability of the product you reserve - when you show up they tend to have less powerful models that do not have enough power to move with traffic in busy Rome; (2) their equipment is older and god knows they do not even disinfect their helmets so bring your own or don't rent from them in the Covid-19 age; and (3) when they say they will credit you for the issues, don;t count on it. They wouldn't honor it with me and Visa would not even address the issues because the company makes you sign their agreement which then negates the ability to contest charges with Visa. As an alternative another disgruntled customer let me know of another company that is right by the Termini station. i tried them and I like them a lot. They have a better selection and are reasonably forgiving if you are a few minutes late to return as it can sometimes be hard to meander your way around Rome's streets. Best part, they are only about 1/2 mile from "My Vespa". If you search scooter rentals termini you should find the other place.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. Rented two scooters for a day. Very glad we only had it for the shortest time…read morebecause one of the scooters had electrical problems and no gas. We mentioned the low gas when we first picked the scooter up and the owner said "eh it's at least a quarter tank!" we did not make it more than a few miles before we ran out of gas. Even after filling the tank, the electrical problems were not allowing us to start the engine. We attempted to call the business but had no answer. Their response? "Should have called when it happened." Additionally, the headlights were so dim that it was unsafe to drive at night. When presented with all these problems, both the owner and his nephew shrugged their shoulders. Luckily, we had an electrical engineer in our party to troubleshoot the problem. Honestly it was by far the best advice I've taken on my trip so far. Off the bat you can see from the picture that's it's not a huge operation, but it's ran by two brothers that were by far the nicest people you will ever come across. I didn't have a reservation, but they made sure that I had a Vespa that night. They gave us a call every hour to our hotel phone whether or not they had availability. The prices are the best you'll get. We rented two days with a €100 cash deposit that you get back once you return the scooter. They even gave us 2 Fedora straw hats as a souvenir! I'm glad I went with them as oppose to bici baci. These two brothers rock and I hope to see them in my future trip to Rome. -Juan Carlos
