The financial issues were complicated, the history was lengthy, and there was an overwhelming amount of documentation to work through. From our very first conversation, it was clear that Nick was not interested in taking shortcuts and making assumptions--and I knew I had found the right attorney for our case. He listened. He asked important questions. He wanted to understand not only the facts, but the context behind them. Nick never argued first and figured it out later. He sought understanding first--and that's what made him such an effective advocate. By the time we got to trial, Nick knew the case inside and out. That preparation, coupled with his keen understanding of the law, allowed him to represent my brother with confidence, giving weight and credibility to every argument he made before our judge, and ultimately achieving an outcome that exceeded our expectations. On a personal level, Nick was responsive, calm under pressure, compassionate, and genuinely invested. He treated us with kindness and respect, earning our complete trust. I'm so grateful that I chose Nick Gottwald to represent my brother. Words fall short of expressing my appreciation for his hard work and unwavering commitment from start to finish. If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing. I'd hire Nick again in a New York minute.

Nick is a great communicator, he's kind, professional, and you can tell he is passionate about the work he does and he wants to help you succeed. He worked well with the opposing counsel - leading and building trust. Ultimately Nick guided this case to a settlement which was the best outcome for everyone. Billing was easy and straightforward. I would highly recommend Nick and his firm. Thank you Nick!

Her communication throughout the process was minimal, and during mediation, she admitted to taking her sick child to daycare, which I feel motivated her to finish fast that day. She encouraged me to accept an extremely one-sided settlement: minimal child support and alimony, no back pay, and no share of funds my ex withdrew from our accounts or retirement. Despite having strong evidence (including video of infidelity), she repeatedly dismissed its relevance and downplayed my concerns. She also failed to properly investigate significant financial discrepancies--over $60,000 in unexplained income on my ex's bank statements. I left mediation feeling blindsided, unsupported, and trapped. I called immediately afterward trying to withdraw my consent to the agreement, but was told I could not. Looking back, I wish I had a stronger advocate--someone who understood my situation and fought for a truly fair outcome. I do not recommend her to others going through divorce, especially if you're in a vulnerable financial or emotional position.
